Hi all I was born in the city in 1950 and still live here it is a lovely city to live in and love it, have in my working life been a lot abroad , but was always happy to come home again - and am very proud that as many tourists and foreigners visit the city, We have a lot to offer. Aarhus is an old city from about -700 hundred and was called Aros ( å-udm as the first name and was then completely inside the cathedral ,it was the harbor at the time. later it grew because it became a trading port and then in the Viking Age around 900-1000 century got to AROS (river mouth) because of the mouth of the river into the bay. City At that time, it was already a thriving trading town. Only a bit of history!
