    Lot of effort and good information in this vid, nice job! Just got “the call” from my ad and purchased a Sea Dweller last week. Should probably have my head examined but it’s a beefy watch and I’m enjoying it.

      have taken to put this research together. I suggest staying the AD course. I've received 4 calls from different AD'S for subs within the last 3 months, and I have no buy history. Things are loosening up! Great job! Thank you.

    I'm on the same boat. Registered interest at a new AD for a Sub, since my previous one pretty much gave me the boot when they became a company that ends in 8+8. We'll see how long it takes with only a couple hundred dollars of purchase history in jewelry. Same as you, only giving them 6-12 months since prices for older Subs from 2020/2021 are coming down closer to retail. I'd rather get one at the AD since I would like a Batman at retail at some point. Good luck!

    "The Deep" - my journey to the ultimate diver - has over 15 years developed as follows : for actual swimming, 4 neovintage "sword hands" Omega SMPs bought preowned : steel back, steel blue, titanium black and titanium blue. All 4 the same design, a perfect set, and the cheapest was $ 1800. They are the beach, pool and sea pieces. I still have all 4 as a set. Great pieces and not too expensive. As for my vintage Subs, there are two sweet 5513s with domed plexi, but they are not for swimming, not for the beach or even the shower, they are "collection grade" : a 1967 matte dial meters first with original riveted bracelet. Classic look with very light patina on the hour markers. And then an almighty 1966 Bart Simpson with top-heavy laquer spotting and heavy patina. This is a unique piece with an exceptional gilt dial totally transformed over time, similar to 1950s radium Subs. A modern 124060 or 114060 is not something I look for. My ideal Sub would be a 6538 radium Big Crown from the late 1950s, but $ 250K is a bit over the top 😄.

      Wow true fan here! That 6538 would be a museum piece for me! Would not dare wear it out haha.

    Yeah buddy!! I’m actually in the car( wife driving) on my way to go pick up my 126603. I always thought the Sub was a little too small for my 7.5 inch wrist.

      Congrats! I think the glidelock should do fine for your wrist.

    Wanted to get the 116500ln from grey/secondary market, dont like the new one with thinner bazel. Do you think the price will drop a bit further for the discontinued model?

    • @mywatchjourney6579
      @mywatchjourney6579  2 месяца назад +2

      All the prices are dropping. They will continue. Be careful, I'm seeing grey dealers list for silly prices hoping to drive up these market prices. But nothing is selling.

    The 14060m two liner is selling more than 10K and the transitional version with the 4 lines is selling over 11K without papers. I think these two models are the ones to buy. Neo-vintage because you can still wear them, dive with them and adventure with them more so than those from the 80s and before. The 14060 is probably the cheapest you can buy.
    The waitlist is a joke. You can die tomorrow. If you are sitting and waiting just go grey. It will never go back to the early 2000s where you can walk in and buy a sub and if you were lucky get a little discount.

      I really considered the 14060M. But I tried on a friend's latest Sub and that did it for me.

    More great data. Obviously a lot of YMMV when buying the 30+ yr and older vintage.
    I hope you eventually get ‘the call’. But I will throw out a suggestion to those who want a no date, sick of the wait, and want to save money: I bought the Pelagos 39 and it really has much of the Sub vibe, looks great at work w a dress shirt or on weekends in short sleeves.

    • @xekret
      @xekret 3 месяца назад +1

      Having owned a couple modern Subs and a Pelagos 39, it is not the same IMO. The Pelagos has more of a vintage Tudor snowflake vibe. However, the new Black Bay 41 monochrome definitely has more Sub vibes.

      Yeah, I should do a deep dive on vintage buying when I get a chance.

      The Pelagos 39 and the 124060 Submariner are on completely different levels. That’s like comparing a bicycle to a Lamborghini.

    I'm genuinely impressed with how close MAMACOO were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.

  • @AinatMorrissette
    @AinatMorrissette 2 месяца назад

    I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
