- 8Dio Lacrimosa is the next generation of Epic Virtual Choirs. Lacrimosa is the largest choir (200 person) ever sampled.
This video is a general introduction to Lacrimosa and its user-interface, including introduction to our word/sequence builder, general controls, microphone and built-in EQ settings, general options page etc.
Lacrimosa was recorded in a pyramid like structure with 70 Basses, 60 Tenors, 40 Altos and 30 Sopranos. This allows the males to be equally powerful to the women - who commonly dominate the mix in epic choral scores. The library contains both mixed and separate patches for male and female sections.
Lacrimosa contains 3 microphone positions (Mixed, Decca, Far) and wealth of deep-sampled articulations, including layered True Legato, extensive sets of Multi-Vowels (allowing the choir to sing 100% realistic and fast), Staccato, Power-Marcato, Arcs, Sustains and many other elements.

I kept flicking through to random bits of this video and no point was the choir sounding. I'm sure at some point we find out what it sounds like...
Hey. Quick question. It seems all the key switches for the various articulations are at -1C. I'm not sure how to adjust that up an octave? My RD-2000's lowest C is 0C. HEllllllPPP 🙂
Just a tiny second before i would have purchased Emperium. Good to know there is Lacrimosa now! Awesome and powerful!
Do you recommend quantization with this choir?

If you're gonna spend $600 you want to hear why it's worth it.
@@8dioproductions Know this was 2 years ago but goddam, people really didn't stick around for even a 5th of the video before complaining 😂 Enjoying the library so far!
