Luka (Suzanne Vega cover) - Last Band On Earth (25/34)

A cover of Luka by Suzanne Vega, filmed and recorded live in the studio by family band Last Band On Earth. This is the twenty-fifth video in our Live In The Studio series.
Luka had been on our practice list for a while, which probably contributed to the greater sense of freedom that we showed on this video. Theo in particular took some big chances with the drum fills, which, while he had played them before, he hadn't really tried in the context of this song. It was one of those nights where we were 'just testing levels' and weren't really expecting to get anything. As a result, we don't look as nervous as usual. Also, Gwenno stomps on the the distortion pedal for the bridge like a true pro.
A little bit about Last Band On Earth:
Hi everyone, we are the Elsenburg family. Daddy Elsenburg is a gigging musician and runs a band practice workshop for children and adults. When the Covid 19 pandemic hit, the only band he could still safely play in was his family band with his son and daughter. We came up with the name Last Band On Earth and have been recording videos for fun, as a cool way to learn music for the children, and also for YOU. We hope they can help to brighten your day!
