First to GOD then to the writer : Henry Van Dyke (1852-1933), who was inspired in 1907, by the beauty of the Berkshire mountains where he was serving as a guest preacher at Williams College, Williamstown, Mass. I was singing this in church long before Sister Act movie came out !
