Best 47 ever!!! We bombed around Zululand in the 7⁰'s with my old boy being chief Warden of the Natal Parks Board at the time. Carrying everything from sharks to crocs and whatever needed hauling to outlying field ranger outposts where roads were a mere suggestion. What a beauty!!!
Ya had me at "Apocalyptic Piece of Shit" it's a TURD WITH CHARACTER what an experience those kids will have no amount of travelling amenities will ever make this trip more memorable, my step dad had an ole 69 with a 3 spd and an ole late 70's nissan and the times we had fishing, hunting on the beach and bush will never be replaced by any school room, a true test to the boys' father for driving in a turd and taking it to the places it needs to go and here's to hoping that the po po don't put that 4wd off the road
Where I live this looks like an ordinary station vehicle. Looks like my neighbours ute. The dust is the right colour.... So let's hook in : High Mount - check Steel Bar - check Toyota - check Diesel - check Suitable amount of grease - check Down sides : Orange plastic boards No sun visor.
Note : Isn't it funny that the people who buy the Lithium, Pie Cookers, Coffee machines and Ceramic cook-tops all get to the same places as the hire 4wd's, park rangers and locals.
Yesh mate. No hipster handbags today! Goes forward and stops. I had one like this in Tassie. Seats were old garden chairs from the tip shop. You could see the tyres going round from inside. Coppers pulled me over goin up Elizabeth St N Hobart , bloke says : put yer seat belt on mate. If it ain't broke..
Please excuse my language!! How the Fuck those it run???and 3 people in it, and the flint stones 😅🤣🤣 your a gem MATEY. It definitely is the ant's pants of the roughies 😱
Can’t kill an old Toyota. In my native tongue the acronym TOYOTA is “tonne ou yster op twee aste” - translated: tons of old iron on two axles. Grew up in a ‘81 Hilux 5speed, which dad drove for 35 years, no issues.
What a Classic Cruiser.... 🤣 Good on them for going to give it a new life!
Watch this space, looking forward to seeing this one transform!
