    Love this video, and would love to watch similar videos for positions where depth is needed (full back or wingers)
    Striker is probably the hardest to predicted (if roque doesn’t develop massively or if Toni Fernandez/Gistau doesn’t look like generational talents at only 16 years of age) it might be a position we need to adresse in the summer transfer window (where the Nike deal might actually be finalised)

    Guily, Figo, Larsson. These are the moulds that our 10s should fill. The modern era has moved a lot of 10s to the wings. Think of Messi, Neymar, Musiala, Wirtz, Foden, etc.
    In Barca, our wingers are still wingers. So Messi shouldn’t be a model for the style of play. Neymar shouldn’t be the model for the style of play.
    It’s weird how the “new” Barca has a throwback playstyle. This team is a classic 2010-2015 style of football

    It's so good to see that we have awesome kids who could step in the first team, especially RWs and LWs because ne need to rest Raphinha and Lamine (and to avoid their injuries) and sub them with QUALITY players not just position fillers (Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati etc).

    Playing Gundogan for the high number of games he did play under Xavi was one of the main reasons for the massive decline in Barcelona's overall play last season....He didn't do enough creatively or defensively for the number of games he was allowed to play.....His departure has also helped the squad morale ....His performances this season for Man City...begs the question how did Xavi allow that guy to play so many games last season....Flick has put real trust in youngsters and not only played them in emergency situations and that confidence that Flick has provided them has paid off ...

    • @peixe_do_dallas8510
      @peixe_do_dallas8510 25 дней назад +2

      He didn't do enough in the attack because he was playing more down than he was before and even in a struggling barca he was one with the best overall goal contributions. The reality is that Hansi Flick is just better and more experienced than Xavi.

    • @Rodney231
      @Rodney231 25 дней назад +1

      @peixe_do_dallas8510 Gundo played majority of the game close to Lewandowski... Somehow Xavi chose to have that average player in the attacking midfielder role ...while Fermin Lopez spend majority of the time on the bench despite being an impact every time he came on.... As well as having Pedri relegated to playing as a DM...

    I think the difference between a 8 and 10 is quite trivial.
    I’m interested in hearing others thoughts on what’s the difference between a 8 and a 10?

    • @MotswanaTota-012
      @MotswanaTota-012 25 дней назад +4

      In the modern era, yes I agree. But historically, it has been the 10 that has less defensive responsibilities. I think of players like figo or kaka. They don’t defend as much, and therefore they always attack when they get the ball. Constantly running at the defenders to score or assist.

    What about other positions like the attacking position

  • @anxofernandez3344
    @anxofernandez3344 25 дней назад +1

    Not everyone will make it to the first team. If Frenkie De Jong ends up re-signing, all midfield positions are covered for many years to come. Eric García, Casadó, Bernal, Gavi, Pedri, Olmo, Fermín López, Frenkie, Pablo Torre... that's a lot. Even if Frenkie leaves, Eric leaves and Torre leaves too, there's only three spots left and too many players to take them. Great central midfielders come through La Masia every year and not everyone makes it to the first team. At least the club will be able to make some money from transfers.

    Football has changed. You need alteast 16 players that are starting quality.
    Peps barca was fairly the same every game. However in 2024 there's so many games so we need as many players as possible. Rotation is more important than ever.

      @jeremyespana3739 I know, but to me he doesn't look like a touch line winger. He reminds me more of someone like Olmo, very good in tight spaces, very good in the link up in the middle around the box.

    • @jeremyespana3739

      @@sigurdnf9121 he can definitely play there. He used to be a midfielder and played as a false 9. It's hard to say what position his future is but he versatile enough to play 10/rw/false 9

Thank God they get rid of that fraud!!

      Hard disagree he was one of our most reliable and consistent players last season. He also finished with 5 goals and 14 assists.
