Heimdall might have been a more tame kill by classic God of War standards, but I’ve seen so much *hatred* in Norse Kratos’ eyes and that was terrifying
If Atrues knew even a QUARTER of what his father had done in his previous life, he wouldn't have had the lip he did in 2018 and Ragnarok. But I guess that's the point. Kratos did not want his son to know the monster that he was and still very well can be.
Poseidon's Princess' death was definitely the most unnecessarily brutal death in God of War. I cringed when I did that my first time doing that and I'll definitely cringe every other time I play it. What a waste.
At first I was gonna say DS...but after much thought and reasoning behind the killing...its definitely Kratos...because he made the choice to be that way...DS kinda doesnt...hes on a mission and everyone is the enemy...
idk if those were in "order" but the number 2 gruesome death wasn't shown, just mentioned (the soldier) and the number one was top 5 (the Poseidon princess)... because those two didn't have any special power, they were just humans that were in the way... In comparison is the same as killing a fly with an atomic bomb...
I never understood why Hades was upset that Kratos killed his wife. If Peresphone succeeded with her plan, it would've meant the end of everything, including Hades himself.

Heimdall getting strangled to death WAS brutal but that was nothing compared to getting your FACE repeatedley bashed in by your own gauntlets

Heimdall got off easy. He deserved to get his face smashed in.

That's exactly the point. He didn't want atreus, his son, to fear him.
They know Keaton is a killer of gods, titans, beasts, monsters and they STILL provoke him.

God of war 3 was that effing good! Imagine a remake of it in 4K 120 FPS. Sheeeeeeeeesh

Outside of boss battles? The Wulver in 2018 and Ragnarok is definitely a brutal kill. It showed why Kratos was a guest Kombatant in Mortal Kombat 9
