That screen will vibrate and flicker like crazy over gravel or bumby road. The stock one does that too and it's much lighter than the tall one. I added a reinforcement bracket on the left side from Wunderlich. Makes the whole thing more sturdy and less bouncy.

I was never bothered by any vibrations etc. Maybe because I looked enough over it. I have since put on the stabilizer bracket after breaking one of the plastic arms that guide the windshield.

I appreciate the video but why doesn't anyone who puts on a new windshield ever just take it for a ride then say whether it worked or not? Seems like a simple and valuable piece of content to include but for some reason nobody does it. Go figure.

How are you liking the bike? Pretty great isn't it? I might be over that way later this year!

MrHeresDave I am hooked on R12GSA big time. Simply have to go for a ride every day even if its for five min.
My previous was K13GT for four years. The one you hated and took it back. I did not find it as bad as you did but seven years difference in bike engineering and materials is huge.
I'll be solo touring Europe, UK to Montenegro through the Alps from mid July. If it fits your plans you are welcome to join me.

Is it unconfortable to ride in the warm days, with this windshield?
The ventilation of the jacket is prejudicate?

I may try this out, although I had my share of high screens and at 6’2” I found all of them useless. I had just installed a low rally screen and it’s much better, you get more wind on your upper chest area, but cleaner, without the turbulence and noise on your helmet that higher screens generate.

Hi Luiz, I am experiencing the same problem. Also 6'2" and driving the GS Rallye (2017). Just switched the stock rallye screen (small and low) for a Wunderlich Ergo 2, but am not happy with it at all. At the highest position I have a lot more buffering and wind noise (helmet Arai XD4). In medium position it is ok, but still not much better than the low rallye screen. Now looking into other options. Wish that MrHeresDave would give us feedback on the wind noise and buffering after testing it..... not just show us how to install.

Hi, Did you notice the shield moving/vibrating a lot at highway speeds? Do you think you need the ZTechnik® Windscreen Stabilizer Kit for BMW® R1200/1250 GS/GSA?TIA,Rob

Hi Rob, I did end up putting on the stabilizer after some time and it made a slight improvement. That said, the vibration wasn't bad without it, but I figured I'd give it a go. Thanks for watching!

Dave, does the new windscreen vibrate at all? I plan on replacing my windscreen with the same one and notice they recommend a stabilizer for it to stop vibration. I'd appreciate your feedback.

Hi Scott. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. The windshield will dance around at highway speeds (80mph+) or if there is a strong crosswind, but in my opinion, not enough to justify the $75 brace they recommend. If you're riding through clean air, the windscreen stays planted.

Duct tape them together for maximum wind deflection!
