Risa the way you zoom in when you go to use a product is extremely appreciated. Alot of yourubers dont do that and its hard to see whats happening! Thank you❤
I would love a tutorial for crepey eyelids. A brush touches my eyelid, and the skin just moves all over. And it's hard to smooth out the inevitable patchiness.
YESS! This is my biggest issue & I put blame to all the years of tanning beds & genetics I guess but I have yet to find a you tuber address this or even have this issue . As much as I love make up, my lids make it so hard to apply eye shadows . ( Which also makes me question if I should even spend $$ on all the high end pallets)
I so appreciate that you zoom in up close when you’re putting on your makeup so we can see what you’re doing. Most RUclipsrs don’t do that and I don’t like that b/c it’s hard to see the application which is what I’m looking to see and learn from. I was hesitant when you were applying that eyeshadow but it came together. The lipgloss made the lip combo pop! I love it!
Would LOVE a tutorial on the reverse wing! You were the first person I had ever seen use this (about two years ago?), and I can never quite seem to get it right. Beautiful look, great video. Thanks!!! ❤
Beautiful job on a beautiful lady. I am 68 years old and had pretty much stopped wearing any makeup at all. But since watching you for a few months,I have started buying a few things and hope to start again. I never was able to wear foundation because I was a perspiring mess and it literally dripped off of me. But I always did eyes and lips. Thankfully I had a beautiful complexion so I really didn’t need the foundation. The good Lord gave me my very own foundation. Lol
Hi! Read your comment about sweating off your foundation; have you tried any of the newer face products from Carpe? They truly work like a charm to prevent face and scalp sweating (since chemo I have a lot of scalp sweat). Just a suggestion but thought perhaps it would help. Best of luck!
I know you love your pink blush...but that peachy blush makes you look so young and fresh (on camera anyway) and was beautifully cohesive with the eye colours. I'm with you on the simple eye look...especially when it looks better than a complicated application.
Maybe let concealer set a bit to make it "thicker" before blending? With the challenge of hooded downturned eyes, i feel that using palettes is no fun because i dont use many of the shades (especially because most don't show on my tan skin). Also i dont like all the heavy shimmers in palettes (only satins).
I agree with your comment about simplifying the eye make-up routine. I have hooded eyes and I think less is more on me. In reference to palettes, I would like to see palettes with more lighter colors to help bring out what I have left in lid space. I strive for a more natural look on my mature eyes.
Agree 100%. So many palettes have too many dark shades that I never use. I prefer a nude 3 or 4 pan palette. GXVE has a 4 pan called Simple Kind of Life which is all matte. At a higher price, Dior 5 Colour Palettes have some nice options. Too Faced Natural eyes has 9 shades, 3 of which are too dark. I am trying to learn how to use the dark shades as eyeliner, but I am more successful with pencil liners.
I have hooded eyes, so don't use my natural crease, I keep my eyes open then start the eye contouring/blending just above crease. I use the darkest shade for eyeliner which is really easy to do with an eyeliner brush.
Risa, you are looking so beautiful. I turned 45 yesterday and you give me hope. I hope you are feeling a little better. I know you had been struggling with chronic pain which is exhausting. I'm praying for you on that and at least if you aren't feeling well, you look gorgeous which can help one feel a bit better too.😊
Thank you for mentioning that. I loved the color of one of the putty blushes, I can't remember the name but it was a really beautiful pinky coral and it looked so good going on but it was gone in a half hour so I'm glad to hear the wear time on the liquid blushes is good. I think I'll give it a shot. Plus, elf is so affordable it's easy to try their stuff out and not be that mad if it doesn't work out. 😊
I just put that one in my shopping cart! I really love the Rare Beauty cream blushes and wanted to try out a different shade but the formula of the one I got felt completely different and didn't blend out as well. Very strange, maybe I just got a bad tube. I'm excited to try out the Elf one. Even if the formula doesn't work for me, at that price point it's not a big deal.
Risa! I had to stop getting ready myself to tell you that your foundation looks absolutely stunning in this video! I know Bare Minerals is anticlimactic, but they do make really nice foundation. I swear by the old school lose power! Add some hydrating spay and it's beautiful. Does not settle into fine lines, does not enhance texture, etc. You are so pretty today! ❤
Im a tad bit older than you, and I’m with you on the less is more. The other day, I used a merit natural cream single on my eyes with a matte highlighter under the brow. I got quite a few compliments from people that I work with, and one of the 20 something RNs asked me to teach her to do makeup! I found that quite amusing and, of course, complimentary. Risa you will always be a beautiful woman even into your “golden years”. Love your videos! More “one and done” shadow videos please!
I love to get minis when I can. I, too, can’t fully commit and I travel a lot so it kills two birds with one stone. This look is gorgeous. You have great skills.
Yes Risa, I would love to see an in-depth tutorial on lining from underneath for hooded eyes. Also love the cohesive coloring to all the makeup today. Just like a ripe peach touched by the morning sun!
I liked the ABH soft velvet lip, but I love the ABH Satin bullet lipsticks much more. In rhe Too Faced Kissing Jelly Gloss the Pina Colada is yummy especially if you love pineapple!
I would love updated eye shadow tutorial with 1-2 essential palettes for mature eyes. 💗 I bought the saucy mauve elf blush; little goes long way. I would also love to see entire face of Sephora collection!
I have the Elf liquid blushes: Pinky Promise; Dusty Rose; and Suave Mauve. I like all of them, especially Pinky Promise. I didn't like the Bare Minerals foundation on you. It wasn't just the color but the fact that I could still see your pores. The lipstick combination was great. You looked beautiful.
I realize all makeup artists do things differently, and I try to learn the best ways that work for me, however, your end results always look so pretty. I would love a new halo eye look. 😊
Hi Risa, great video as always. Yes please, do any in-depth eye tutorial -- I have such a difficult time with ALL eye makeup as I get older (& have a harder & harder time seeing anything without my glasses).
Less eyeshadow for me too! I noticed about 2 years ago that dark eyeshadows were just not working for me anymore. I turned 50 and simpler looks just look fresher and younger. I still love eyeshadow, but I have to be very selective where I use the shadows. I now use eyeshadow as more of an eyeliner. These days, I’m favoring eyeshadow crayons because any bit of fallout from powder eyeshadow can be very aging!
Risa, I agree about the pallets. I’m 44, I’ve been into bringing my blush, bronzer and highlight onto my lids for a monochromatic look. Easy and quick and looks very polished. Or I’ll do a one shadow look with UD moondust. I’m over doing intricate looks on myself.although nars shadows always bring out your baby blues so now I’m intrigued 😂
I was just about to say... those lashes will be up and running with martini lashes! Love the blush on you... a beautiful light from within ... and I think that is where you are right now- once we hit the 50's we are more in tune with who we really are as women deep inside .... we have done the work of creating home & hearth, raised children up... held successful jobs with or without partners by our sides ... and we finally reach that point where we don't need to prove anything to anyone but ourselves... we truly begin to see on ourselves what others have seen all along... Run with it! It becomes you!❤
Hi Risa! I so enjoy your videos!!! You are so gorgeous!!! I could watch you apply makeup all day long lol. ❤ Have a great day! Thank you for all your hard work at creating amazing content!
Hi Risa! Not that I'm criticizing you in a way, this is a general comment. I think doing a thick line of shadow under the bottom lashes, makes people look like they might have an illness or just really tired. Most of us have dark circles and adding a thick line of shadow makes the dark circles look worse. Concealer doesn't do any good if a person is going to add a thick line of shadow. That's just my opinion, which won't buy you a cup of coffee! I see celebrities that wear a super thick line and pull it out in a long wing. Like Lisa Marie Presley. Her makeup was almost 'Goth' with a thick line of shadow, but then she passed just days later. It made me think she was hiding an illness under her makeup. Others that do it also look either sick or the 'Goth' look is kind of coming back! Ha! I hope you read this. I've been wanting to ask you how the matte primer you bought off Amazon is still working for your oil and texture. It's by Elizabeth Roth? I think that was her name. I'm 65 and have very oily skin and still getting acne! I have alot of acne scarring on the upper cheek area. You mentioned that this primer really covered your texture. That's what I need! My Dr. prescribed Trentanonin, but I think I might be allergic to it. My skin is very itchy during the night. Love your videos and especially the content. You are amazing! 🎊💄💋
The ABH lip velvet is definitely something I am interested in and plan on purchasing at some point in a sale, in the dark peach shade. I also want to try the ELF CC cream and liquid blush
Yes Risa agreed very similar eye shado pallets, would be nice if they did to me a cooler tone which is harder to find as is. Color pop and there is some, yet shimmers get old as they add too many ❤
Love that lip combo Risa. One thing I do for my dreadful dark circles is very similar but instead of a brush I use an old fashioned sponge and dab some powder or eyeshadow in that dark area. I've done this for 100 years...lol❤❤❤
I got that foundation to try out a month ago and I love it on my oily skin! I’m a nurse and work 12 hour shifts and it lasts the entire time, it’s my new fav!
I would love an eye tutorial, everyday and night looks for hooded eyes. My crepe has gotten better with excellent eye hydrating creme but I still have to be careful.
lol. You’re funny Risa. You started out saying you were starting to simplify, but you ended up putting on 5 different shadows!! lol And yes please on the ‘wing’ tutorial. ❤️
lol yeah, I should have been more clear. I meant I was going for more minimal looks in general, but since I was testing out a new palette I felt like I had to use at least 3-4 shades in order to demonstrate/review it properly.
Omg I had such similar thoughts lately: 1. I’m so eager for nars to release something different for eyeshadows since the Climax pallet. I loved that one. 2. I also just scaled back on how many eyeshadow shades I use each day. I went down to 2 and now I can sleep in a few more mins. Lol. And I actually really like my new eye looks. Can’t wait to hear in the future your thoughts on the primer (as a fellow oily-skin gal). ☺️
Love the Elf camo blush!! I have Dusty Rose, Suave Mauve and Bronze Bombshell and love them all! The darker ones are VERY pigmented so you have to apply just a half dot on your hand and blend it out but it looks great! All colors pretty!
Risa you are one of my favorite Makeup Artists! I love how you are so honest! I personally did not like the foundation on you! I loved everything else. I still need help making the wing on my eyes, lol Thanks for making such great videos!
The concealer definitely wouldn’t work on me! My dark circles are 4 times worse than yours 😢 I use corrector and 2 concealers and it still won’t cover them. Love the lip combo and blush on you. You look beautiful no matter what you wear.
I so feel you, sis 😘 And w my more mature skin & dark cirkles I really appreciate Risa’s honest reviews. What’s your current fave corrector-concieler combo? Mine is probs CT corrector & Natasha D. Hydraglam or Hourglass.
@@mari22 - I use NYX Fix Stick color corrector. I also have NYX Color Correcting Palette and I’m trying Beauty Bio Eyelighter Concentrate Brighting Serum and Retinol Eye Cream.
I'd love to have a video on creating the wing. I'm 64 and it's difficult to add a wing with the wrinkles around my eyes. By the way, I love watching you videos.
Hi Risa! I am new to the channel. Found you searching hooded eye makeup. I too am in my early 50’s and also have oily skin so I am looking forward to going through more of your videos. I was wondering if you have done or could do a video on how to clean makeup brushes and how often to do so. Thanks a bunch and nice to “meet” you!

It would be great to have a tutorial for that reverse wing technique! Thanks Risa!!
Risa the way you zoom in when you go to use a product is extremely appreciated. Alot of yourubers dont do that and its hard to see whats happening! Thank you❤
I love how everything has a pinky peach golden reflex everything is so cohesive
I would love a tutorial for crepey eyelids. A brush touches my eyelid, and the skin just moves all over. And it's hard to smooth out the inevitable patchiness.
I feel ya’ on that…I never knew I had that much skin on my eyelids until they got crepey! 😂

Yes Risa would love to see more on reverse eyeliner !!!!
Really like the mascara too.
Looks beautiful 💕
You look stunning, Risa 😻
Love your look, and would love to see tutorials both of your hair and Reverse eye liner?

The elf liquid blush in Pinky Promise is a pretty shade…very pigmented, but gorgeous and the wear time is great!

I would LOVE to see a video on the wind with hooded eyes! Thank you, Risa!
And deep set eyes!
Please show more on hooded eyes.
You need the suave mauve shade of the elf blush! It’ll look gorgeous with your skin tone!
Yes I would like to see a detailed tutorial of the wing
That blush and highlighter combo on you looks stunning. 🤩
I would LOVE a new halo eye tutorial 🥰. Yay !
Xo 🇨🇦
Oh, yes, please!! A tutorial on this technique please!!
Definitely would like a more in-depth doing the eyes.😀
Tutorial is coming tomorrow!!
Im a tad bit older than you, and I’m with you on the less is more. The other day, I used a merit natural cream single on my eyes with a matte highlighter under the brow. The colors are fantastic on you, and your sweater color brings it all together.
Beautiful as always!
Sephora knocked it out of the park with those contour colors! I bought the two lightest and I’m so happy! Finally a true grey cool contour color!!!
Yes!! We want a more in depth tutorial of the reverse liner technique please!!! 🙏🏼
Would love the reverse wing, please tutorial! Love this video ❤XOXO Rebecca
Of course you look fantastic, but what did it for me, is the eyeshadow look - *chef's kiss*!!
I liked the ABH soft velvet lip, but I love the ABH Satin bullet lipsticks much more. In rhe Too Faced Kissing Jelly Gloss the Pina Colada is yummy especially if you love pineapple!
U should try leaving the concealer sit a minute or 2 so it sets a Lil n u can maintain the coverage imho
Yes! A tutorial on the reverse wing would be great.
I would love updated eye shadow tutorial with 1-2 essential palettes for mature eyes. 💗
I bought the saucy mauve elf blush; little goes long way.
I would also love to see entire face of Sephora collection!
I'd like a more in depth tutorial of the reverse wing/wing from the bottom liner.
I've tried all the Elf blushes and I like them better than the Rare Beauty. I find them easier to use. All the colours are nice.
I love the contour color!! Eyeshadow looks amazing!
Yes, please do a video on the wing with hooded eyes!
Thank you Risa - it was so nice to get a thorough make up tutorial.
yes to the tutorial for this type of wing. I definitely want to give it a try.
I would love a new halo eye tutorial! I’m actually intrigued about that contour… ABH is selling out here too!
That contour powder looks awesome!!!
Every hooded eye technique with as many colors as you can stand please!
I realize all makeup artists do things differently, and I try to learn the best ways that work for me, however, your end results always look so pretty. I would love a new halo eye look. 😊
Yes please tutorial on reverse wing. Love your make up! You’re stunning!
Would absolutely love a tutorial on the reverse wing, seems like a great technique for hooded eyes! Thank you ❤
I like peachy blush…. And creams are much nicer than the powders I always wore before.
Hi Risa, great video as always. Yes please, do any in-depth eye tutorial -- I have such a difficult time with ALL eye makeup as I get older (& have a harder & harder time seeing anything without my glasses).

Yes peach looks so good on you ! 😊
39:46 that pallet kind of reminds me of the modern renaissance
Risa, I agree about the pallets. I’m 44, I’ve been into bringing my blush, bronzer and highlight onto my lids for a monochromatic look. Easy and quick and looks very polished. What a beautiful makeup job, as always, Risa! ❤❤
Risa, this is one of my fav looks on you. Good job on this video. Thanks.😊
Love the blush and lip combo!
Reverse wing....yes, please. Beautiful look....you always deliver an interesting, educational and enjoyable video.
I'd like to see the wing tutorial with folds/hoods
I still do the block brows from 2014, it looks like they’re coming back in style now anyway 13:33
You really do your homework by preparing a whole look that’s even cohesive with your outfit. I really appreciate that. Dress for Success ❤

Suave mauve berry well and dusty rose are my favorites❤
Hi Risa! I so enjoy your videos!!! You are so gorgeous!!! I could watch you apply makeup all day long lol. ❤ Have a great day! Thank you for all your hard work at creating amazing content!

On camera the blush and highlighter gave a very pretty glow.
Color pop and there is some, yet shimmers get old as they add too many ❤
You are gorgeous and have a beautiful smile!!😂
Loved the lip combo sm today!
I would love to see a tutorial on the reverse wing eyeliner please! I watched a tutorial on another channel but not on a hooded eye. Thank you Risa!
Yes you should do a more indepth video on the reverse cateye
Risa, yes PLEASE do another halo eye tutorial!! I got super excited when you mentioned this. Can't wait
Gorgeous Risa as always very pretty that blush color looks very nice on you and the lips 10 out of 10 😘
Loved this video and the lip colors are perfect!
I would love an eye tutorial, everyday and night looks for hooded eyes. My crepe has gotten better with excellent eye hydrating creme but I still have to be careful.
Wow Risa! I pretty much love all of your looks, but this one is definitely one of my recent faves. Stunning!
So beautiful!! I love the lip gloss as well! It tastes like bubblegum too!!! My next one is going to be Pina Coloda!
lol. You’re funny Risa. You started out saying you were starting to simplify, but you ended up putting on 5 different shadows!! lol
And yes please on the ‘wing’ tutorial. ❤️
lol yeah, I should have been more clear. I meant I was going for more minimal looks in general, but since I was testing out a new palette I felt like I had to use at least 3-4 shades in order to demonstrate/review it properly.
Reverse wing tutorial please!!! that was brilliant!
I think you’ll love the Suave Mauve of the Elf Camp Blush! ❤
Really love that peach blush on you!!
I ordered several of the Elf blushes and LOVE them all!!
Thank you Risa! I agree with you about Nars eye shadow palettes. I miss some of their old school two pan palettes with a variety colors.
Please do a reverse eyeliner tutorial. Thanks.
Risa really does makeup very well! 😊 beautiful look 👏
Omg I had such similar thoughts lately:
Thanks Risa, you mentioned possibly doing a review of the winged liner. Would really enjoy seeing one!
Great tutorial/video!! I would love to see more of a tutorial for a reverse wing. Thank you
Risa you are one of my favorite Makeup Artists! I love how you are so honest! I personally did not like the foundation on you! I loved everything else. I still need help making the wing on my eyes, lol Thanks for making such great videos!
Lip color STUNNIN’!!!!
The concealer definitely wouldn’t work on me! My dark circles are 4 times worse than yours 😢 I use corrector and 2 concealers and it still won’t cover them. Love the lip combo and blush on you. You look beautiful no matter what you wear.
I so feel you, sis 😘
And w my more mature skin & dark cirkles I really appreciate Risa’s honest reviews.
