I really enjoy the younger generation searching for the truth. I was not so wise at such a young age. I did understand Bitcoin when I discovered it and fortunately did buy some in 2015. That being said; I haven't parted with it when I could have to buy land that has gone up actually more than Bitcoin - in that specific time frame.
I'd say satoshi was like many, many others who knew the system was corrupted long before 2008. It was more fortuitous that the white paper and GFC coincided, imho. I personally had been looking at early attempts of digital money in the late 1990s. So satoshi most certainly was.
