Oh thank you so much those are so cool. 2 years ago I made bed pillow cases for everybody in my family for Christmas and I love them. I had fun picking up Christmas material that kind of matched their personality.

    Hi Colette,
Yay, I was your #1 first Like! 😊. I have always loved the look of these envelope pillows yet I have never made one. Some of the seamstresses in here add other steps to it and then I think oh it's too much too it, I don't want to mess up pricy fabric and I chicken out. Colette you have the BEST instructions, you have taken the fear out of it it for me and I definitely am going to make many now.
I love to make Thanksgiving themed printed items such as table runners, place mats and even matching napkins. Boy, I have nutcracker fabric I want to make these pillow covers now and try to line up the nutcrackers so there are 3 on the front standing together. I am praying God will bless me with finding a little house to buy in early spring and my only 3 wishes is for a nice craft room, a gas stove, and a little back porch. I made beautiful nautical pillows for my Mom's porch and she didn't get to enjoy them long enough before she passed away. I bought a nice spread from Waverly to cover up her futon and bought a sheet that matched and made valances for the porch windows and pillow covers for her pillows but I made them with now ties on one end. I should have attempted the envelopes instead.
My Mom and grandma taught me how to sew when I was 5 and how to darn socks, fix sweaters. I. High School I took in mending and made extra money that way as I put myself thru college. For high school graduation I made my own white linen suit with a Vogue pattern and tailored button holes and they didn't scare me. Is that not crazy or what.
I pray a lot for my family when I sew. My brother in Thursday is having cancer surgery 3 states away . My sister has health issues and she is going to NJ to take care of my brother. My Dad fell in Labor Day and banged himself up pretty good. Now and then I kiss my sewing machine and look up and I say Thank You Mom. Trying to save for a car and a sewing machine years ago was hard I kept putting the machine in the back burner. Imagine I was making myself clothes, curtains, pillowcases, etc on a 1908 Treadle foot straight stitch machine that my great grandmother used. I made a quilt on it years ago and told the quilt. My Mom in 1991 bought me my machine .
Well I did not mean to write a novel. I get excited, I live alone and I go overboard with comments. An envelope pillow is also great for your TV guide and your remotes.
    I enjoy all your videos.
    Blessings, Rebekah

Hi Colette. I love your videos and channel. I was wondering for the no sew options, have you ever tried a product called stich witchery? I saw it in another creator's video making pillows. It's a strip you put on the edges and seal with heat.

My sewing machine has a blade that you slide the thread over. It kind of looks like a seam ripper on the back of my machine.
