You shouldnt apply for a map in the first place if youre gonna take more than 1 or 2 years to do a part it just seems like poor time management. Especially since map parts are usually super short. Animation takes time. But not that much time. People should check to see if theyll have time BEFORE applying. It may be a hobby project. But god- its a group project and its ridiculous to leave people hanging like that. Someone else who had time couldve applied for the same part and finished it. TL/DR: hot take.
