You said flat attack is better, but would a 5% attack be better?
At when i did the math
My 5% attack would give me 240 more attack
Which is better than a 200 flat attack ring
So isn't it better? Or am i misunderstanding somethings ?

Did you calculate if you equip 200 flat atk? So that you could compare the 5% atk vs the 200 flat atk

Just my basic attack stats , (around 4800) + 200? =(5000?)
Cuz I did that for my 5% ring
4800 ×1.05% = 5040
Which means it's better right ?

@@jonnyasquith4194 I think you had other factors when you added the 5% atk.
Let say your base atk is 1000
You have a 5% atk ring and a 200 flat atk ring
- If you equip the 5% atk you get a total atk of 1050
- If you equip the flat 200 atk you get a total atk if 1200
As of result 1200 > 1050
Let say you give yourself a 25% atk buff
(5% atk + 25% atk)(1000 base atk) = 1300 atk
(25% atk)(1000 base atk + 200 flat atk) = 1500
Flat is much better since the % on the ring is too small

What I got was
My base attack 5000 using your 25% attack and the 5% on ring would = 6500
And with 200 flat ring
It would be 5200 ×25% = 6500
So ummm..it would be better the high your attack stats are no?

@@jonnyasquith4194 Yes. If you are getting a lot of flat atk from other sources, % can help you boost it, vice versa.
If you manage to get a 5% and 200 flat atk rings, you can test and see what works better
SAOIF calculation can be weird compare to other games but it should be it. Though you have to factor in that you have your gear and weapon stats, weap level and weap prof skill etc which get more complicated.

Do you have 5 ring gemstone and 1 floor boss drop (f50 or abobe)?
Do you have filter on?
Can you find it in item production?

why always flat atk? isnt percentage better in the end game

In SAOIF, damage scales better with flat and you already getting a lot of atk % from other resources. You would say same goes to flat atk such as Power Rise and Weapon gives high flat atk.
For rings, the atk % isn't big so people prefer getting flat instead of %
