So, to maximize the ingots we need to build all of our skill based on the elements on the ingots? What will happen if I use the slash only ingot but my skill has the slash/wind elements?

Nothing, slash won’t reduce the dmg on your slash skills but will affect on your thrust/blunt skill

Late reply but equip ingot that reduce your max hp on your 2nd slot (prefer on weapon) switch to your bow set and you haw low hp
