What a great fall camp! Looks like you still had lots of pop left in the autumn colours too. But seriously, were you camping at The Zoo? :p You were very fortunate to see such a diversity of wild life! And nice job spotting that camouflaged little frog (toad?). Loved the dreamy morning mist shot @13:59 too... Nothing like paddling on a river... Thanks for taking us along. Cheers!

@iCanoe_ thanks for watching and the nice comment. My quiet morning walks yield the most wildlife shots. I see some from the canoe but usually spook them while trying to get set up, or the shot is so unsteady that I can't even salvage 3 seconds of it. It was a relaxing, colorful trip, although I couldn't catch a fish to save my life.

Sure enjoyed coming along on your latest journey up the river and seeing the gorgeous hues of fall and all the wildlife. We liked seeing the tasty meals you cooked up on that trusty little tripod. Looking forward to your next wilderness adventure.

What a fabulous and peaceful adventure. This is a great trip for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. You showed us how doable this is. Time to start planning! Your wild meal looked so enjoyable in the wild. Very enjoyable video. Thank you as always for taking us along and showing us how to be equipped simply but sustainably. Kudos to you for being considerate of the dry weather.
Ps. Idk how you always find such amazing wildlife, but they are so nice to see. The beaver tree!! 🥰

@michelescottagehomestead6168 thanks for watching and the compliments. It was a very doable trip in a very scenic area. Quiet is the key to getting the wildlife which is much easier to do on solo trips. Glad you enjoyed it

@naturallyadriftphotoadvent123 thank you, and thanks for watching. I'm not very good at wildlife photography, but I try to capture what I can out there.

Great scenery and wildlife. That was a very impressive paddle upstream. I’ve only done it downstream.

@kensherlock662 thank you, Ken. Some spots were a water treadmill with minimal upstream progress, but it was fun. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

    Awesome adventure!
Have you tried Big Lake State Forest campground outside of Covington yet? Really nice and quiet, especially in the fall when I went. It’s just remote enough to feel like you’re getting away from civilization due to fairly rough dirt roads on the way in.Great bass fishing with just a few cabins on one end of the lake and the rest undeveloped.

@bigkemna87 I have not been there. It sounds nice. I do have a video of the Craig Lake area a bit further to the east. That was a nice area. Thanks for watching and the suggestion. I'll have to check it out.

@Bob-e2e2t how was it back then? My earliest memories there were in the 90s on canoe trips down the river, from Woodpecker Creek to Tippy.

@Bob-e2e2t it seems to be one of the few places in the LP where you can still get that I'm-in-the-wilderness feeling. Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video.
