I was worried this was gonna take more time! You made it easy for me on my 99, appreciate it! I'm basically in my 3rd year of being a lube tech so trying to get my hands dirtier on the heavier stuff.
Glad it was helpful. In general trying to share enough info on tools needed and level of effort to give someone an idea on what it will take to tackle.
Thanks!! I feel more prepared now to replace my PS pump and both lines. I'm curious what you used to clean and remove all the grime from the frame under the air box?
Thanks Jeff. I used Simple Green and those blue heavier shop paper towels. I buy the Simple Green concentrated and can mix it up as needed, in this case it was a stronger batch that I’d spray on and let soak, but it still took a few applications per area. Good luck tackling this project, it’ll be nice to reset the clock on it when you are done!
Nate, I’m not sure, you should be able to check compatibility on Amazon for your model/year. I would definitely replace both while you are in there, these are inexpensive parts, reset the clock on both while you are at it. Good luck!
@@MattsGarageMiscDIY I believe I found it, will get here Saturday. Thanks! You too. Also have to replace the fuel sending unit and needs the whole front 13 piece replacement, bushings are shot.
Great video. I had multiple pinholes in my high pressure line and when I went to install the new one I stripped the box so I got to learn how to install a steering box 😁🤦🏻 Thanks for the tips and tricks, hopefully there won’t be any PSF geysers this time.
Threaded until snug/tight, but doesn’t need to be over-tightened, just make sure you have the new o-rings in place and old o-ring is not stuck in the port on either end. Run the car, move steering from lock-to-lock to pump out any air and check for leaks. Good luck.
found this leak earlier this week and gonna get a jump on it tomorrow. Thanks so much for being so informative.
Skipped right through the trickiest part
helped me out a lot, great video!!
Glad it helped :) Nice to reset the clock on these things!

Awesome. My hope in capturing videos is to give enough info that others might tackle these kinds of repairs. 👍🏼
Well you did with me, so definitely on the right track! Appreciate it, sir. 😁
Thanks man, I needed a little guide on how to remove and reinstall the hose

Really helpful to know which tools will be needed! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful.
Appreciate the video, definitely helpful
Learn from my mistakes 😂

I normallt use a whole can of brake clean which will normally blast the crud off
Will that same high power work in a ‘92? I just purchased the return but figure I should replace both at the same time.

Sorry to hear about your steering box, I hope you’ve got it all handled and back on the road!
Awesome!
Hope you didn’t break that bolt like I did getting the air filter box out of the way!
Good video btw brother thxs
Thank you
You made me laugh at snap off
Did you thread the pressure hose all the way down

Is 18 mm the same as 5/8?
Decent video but ya skipped the hardest part in the video.
