    Love how much the NBC guys hammered on Pagenaud's pit exit and just breezed past Dixon doing it just as egregiously 2 laps prior. Pagenaud was incredible in 2016 and the commentators were slow on the uptake.

    I would have liked them to replay Dixon's pit exit, which was for sure over the line legal style, to compare to Pagenaud.

    LOL at Letterman when Robin Miller was interviewing him! Here's to hoping he performs a publicity stunt similar to last year's 500, when he said he would give out a bunch of Steakburgers if either one of his drivers, Graham Rahal or Oriel Servia, won the race.

    There were so many people that cut the line so at least race control stayed consistent

  • @Goroh35
    @Goroh35 8 лет назад +2

    Well at least the race control was consistent. After giving Chilton only a warining for cutting the course 3x big time, it would have been ridiculous to give Pagenaud a drive through for cutting by an inch.

    IndyCar made the right call. I uploaded a detailed analysis of the Long Beach blend line on my channel. It will be interesting to see what happens in Alabama now that they have the electronic sensors. Be careful what you wish for!

      +Anthony Kernich I don't know how the rules are in indycar, but in other sports if many of the cars drive over the line it's not considered illegal because nobody actually gains advantage since they all do the same

    🌴 Long Beach 🌴 Brilliant. Best long beach race for me was the 1983 gp f1. John Watson & Niki Lauda (Mclaren) burning it up from the back of the field. Simon Pagenaud definitely didn't come out of the pits correctly, should have been a penalty. NTT Indy car series, thanks for the view.

    Indycar really drop the ball on their rules. Chilton cut turn 4 twice and Pagedaun for cutting the pit lane exit. They did the same thing last year at Fontana with Rahal.

    Indycar really don't do themselves any favours do they? What's the point in having rules if you aren't going to enforce them

    • @theonyxace4946
      @theonyxace4946 7 лет назад +1

      Josh Robbins if you watch closely you can see a lot of people did cut the line and I believe one or two were able to stay in front of another car so I guess they were trying to stay consistent

  • @robertsegura4659
    @robertsegura4659 8 лет назад +1

    why can't F1 make their races available like Indycar? More exposure couldn't hurt F1, I would think this would make F1 more popular in the US.

      I know i'm answering 3 years late to this comment, but you clearly didn't understand what the yellow line limit was. Having the right tyres touching the line was okay, what wasn't okay is crossing with the full car before the end of it. You can clearly see in the timestamps of your comment that Dixon was within the rules, while Pagenaud wasn't

      @@MiskorionI'm rewatching the 2016 season. I don't know what that guy was talking about. Dixon 2 wheels over but Simon had all 4 over or touching. Just a reminder of the few years we spent with castrated race control. Whatever you do don't penalize Roger.
