great video in an overlooked area of the war. I recommend the book "Road of Bones" by Fergal Keane. Great and thorough look at the whole campaign, all the major leaders, environmental conditions, logistics, weapons, etc. A great read on the subject.
Superbe vidéo de la Bataille de Kohima en 1944 , entre l'Armée Britannique 🇬🇧 et l'Armée Impériale Japonaise 🇯🇵. Bravo et merci SturmFuhrer PK , c'est du bon travail. 🙏👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🫡😉😊 🌿🎖🌿
it was the disastrous command of Renya Mutaguchi that caused the collapse of the Japanese Army at the Imphal Offensive. Lt.Gen. Kotoku Sato, commander of the Japanese at Kohima, publicly expose him. Great video!
It was a ferocious battle, the Japanese Army attacked with over 15,000 men, the British and Indian defenders of Kohima were only around 2,500. Japanese casualties were 7,000 men, the British and Indians lost 4,064 men.
The AI is so bad for the MoW and CtA series, it’s ridiculous. Tanks turning 180 degrees away from the enemy and getting hit in the rear… Soldiers just stupidly standing there…
The japanese imperial guard were their elite troops and were much taller and larger than the ordinary japanese soldier. They once held a hill in Burma we were due to attack. And it was heavily shelled for a week before any infantry attacked it. By which not many were left to fight.
How the hell did the Japanese have the logistics/resources for an offensive like this? meanwhile the most of their resources are are being put into the islands that are slowly being pushed back
@michaelzerles3160 Because It was one of the only theatres where the Japanese war machine was not on the backfoot. Unlike in the Pacific where American and Australian forces were conquering island after island and pushing the Japanese closer to their homeland.
@@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- the Japanese were on the Defensive in the Pacific. They were on the offensive in China and Burma so naturally this is where they deployed most of their forces.
British managed to bring it under its control.for two Hundred years What would have happened if They had abandoned it in 1942 and fell back to africa Would the.japanese have been Better conquerors!

If the British and Indians had 2,500 men how can they lose 4,000 men.

It'd be nice to know what is going on. I have read a history of the battle but this cries out for a combination of the two.

Information that we didn’t have.
Most of their resources were committed in China and Burma. Japan was able to maintain an army group in the Burma theatre which is pretty impressive.
