@Brayden I believe the lesson here is; that there is no unpardonable sin. The cross of Christ is for the forgiveness of all sin. Jesus was accusing these Pharisees of committing the unpardonable sin; yet "All Israel shall be saved"....and the Pharisees are of Israel!
I believe we need to stop talking of something that's impossible. People want to believe that we're being trapped into "lostness". There is no unpardonable sin that keeps us lost. The is no mark which will keep us lost. There is no "hell" that keeps us lost. The cross of Jesus is sufficient for the forgiveness of all sin!

Hey brother can i please ask you something?
I was worried beacouse i thought i might have blasphemed and i just wanted assurance. So i discussed with my friends what blasphemy is (Attributing the spirits work with the devil) and meanwhile i made a few examples of what would need to be said without realizing i was actually saying the blasphemy in that moment. I just wanted them to understand my fear and what i was talking about. ---Still basically saying the blasphemy multiple times. Do you think i did the sin? I obviously didnt mean what i said. I feel so helpless and i think i fell for the devils trap.
      And in the bible stands:
"Whoever speaks against the holy spirit". I dont know if the context its spoken in is important but i spoke against it. I already repented but feel like its too late. Please help me❤️🙏

@@yourlostairpod9556giving an example of what the sin is isn’t the unpardonable sin. Think about it this way, how could any preacher or teacher preach on the subject to warn people if merely saying a certain set of words constituted the sin? It is a conscious outpouring of a heart so blackened as to intentionally ACCUSE God incarnate of the opposite when they know it’s a lie. It is telling a lie so heinous out of so much hate for what God has revealed, to the point where it is literally denying the undeniable, that it locks such a person out of repentance and belief for the rest of their life, and thus eternity. Giving examples or outlining what it is isn’t the sin, the fact that you are worried is proof enough. Now, I wouldn’t encourage anyone to say the words, but look at sproul, he was teaching on the subject and said the words several times… the actual blasphemy comes from the heart and onto the mouth

This sin was committed once in the Bible, when the Pharisees saw Jesus healing people and casting out demons. Outside of that one time, it did not occur once again. Why is that? It’s because to commit this sin, one would have to see the Lord himself doing the miracles, and if they hard heartedly attributed to a bad source, they would be guilty of that sin.when Jesus said it will not be forgiven in this age or age to come, this age meant the ministry of Christ was on earth. The age to come is when Jesus returns. Therefore, this is not something that can be committed today.

In Hebrews, the target audience are Jewish believers who are considering going back to Judaism because of persecution. He’s explaining to them that because of the sacrifice of Jesus and his resurrection, there is no longer any other religious practice that will make them clean before the father except for believing in Christ Jesus. This verse has been used to beat Christian’s up for years but, it has nothing to do with the unforgettable sin. The sin against the Holy Spirit is attributing the work(s) of the Holy Spirit to the devil.

You are not saved unless you know that Jesus is God (John 8:24). You need to get a trustworhy Bible translation such as ESV, NIV, KJV, etc. You also need to find a good church.
      Romans 8:9-11 (ESV)
"You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

32:40 doesn't look like there is any scriptural backing given here. Yes we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, but to what effect? Somehow God takes away our free will and makes it impossible to commit a specific sin? Christians have spoken out against the Holy Spirit in the past, and it is conceivable they could be ignorant about a move of the Spirit that looks unusual to them. I would prefer to have solid scriptural backing but I find no basis for this position.

I’m characmatic but I’m sure that someone other groups might ignorantly assert that it is “of the devil” (when in fact scripture encourages it). Now they might mean well in their belief - and abuses do happen - but I would just be on the safe sauce and not attribute the work of the Spirit as the devils doing.

tongues . . . interpretation. These temporary sign gifts, using the normal words for speaking a foreign language and translating it, like the others (miracles, healings) were for the authentication of the truth and those who preached it. This true gift was clearly identified in Acts 2:5-12 as real languages, which validated the gospel as divine. They were, however, because of their counterfeit in the culture, disproportionately exalted and seriously abused in Corinth. He seems to have contradicted himself. He said at about 32 minutes its one thing to have doubts its another thing to have come to true faith and regeneration and then you commit it, but then says God's elect cant commit it later. In another video on assurance he says the elect are the regenerate. Regeneration is by the holy Ghost to his elect so how can that be? Maybe he misspoke. Maybe he meant enlightened instead of regeneration. I think of Hebrews. In the case of those enlightened but fall away.
Also he mentioned earlier that they didn't commit this sin, but were about to because they were Blaspheming against Christ and later were forgiven for ignorance. That doesn't make sense. The Pharisees were saying the power of the holy spirit to cast out demons was doing it by Satan and therefore were blaspheming the holy spirit. Jesus said even if you don't believe my words believe the works I do so they were calling clear miracles a lie and from satan. How can you say they were ignorant? They may have been blind but wasn't it will full blindness because there hearts were hardened? Jesus called them whitewashed tombs and were sons of the devil and want to do the works of their father. They had the law and the prophets and they rejected them with their hearts because they cared about the rituals and not their own people. Then they had the Son speaking the words of the Father to them and rejected him, then they rejected the undeniable proof of the Holy Ghost. So now they've rejected the entire Trinity. Plus, how could Pharisees be ignorant of the idea that only God can do miracles? They were the teachers of the law. Didn't they know of Moses vs the Egyptians who couldn't replicate what Moses did because it was God's power? It seems to me that they didn't want people worshipping someone else. They loved people's praise and cared more about their status than God.
Where in the context of father forgive them is it referring to them? Could he not have been referring to the Romans and the other Jews and not necessarily the Pharisees who were accusing him of working with Satan? And just because Peter says had they had known they would not have crucified the Lord of glory doesn't seem to indicate just ignorance but willful ignorance. They didn't see him as God because they didn't know God or love him. They were selfish and arrogant. Didn't Jesus say they were of the devil? So they were like the demons in that case right?
The context of Hebrews seems to indicates the sin of unbelief/apostasy (which is outraging the spirit of grace because you are rejecting his grace in by knowing the truth and abandoning it). Now it seems to me that someone could also blaspheme the holy spirit as well, but nothing I see in the context of Hebrews is talking about the verbal sin of Blasphemy. Also, is it possible that someone could say that in a moment of anger and be forgiven?
I don't know. I'm so confused why so many people have different views. The closest thing that makes sense to me in interpreting scripture with other scripture is that the unpardonable sin is a final deliberate rejection of the truth about Christ whether by blaspheming the holy spirt in your words or in your heart by apostatizing. It seems to manifest itself in different ways. There comes a point where genuine repentance is impossible because the Spirit of God no longer convicts them of sin so that they repent. I do know that Jesus said he would never cast anyone away.
I'm still trying to understand all this and it gets confusing. I wish he would have done the sermon based on all of the synoptic gospels because there is more scripture that fits in. Like in Matthew he says those who are not with me are against me, therefore... It doesn't say truly truly, so how do you put them together?

@@paneran_z The best explanation is that since Gods forgiveness comes only through Christ and it the Spirit of God who draws you to the Son, the unpardonable sin is rejection of the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. The historical context is that the pharsiees had reached a level of such hardness that were willfully blind to the clear truth presented by the miracles that Christ was doing by the power of the Holy Spirit. Its a state of darkness, unrepentance, and unbelief. Thats why its unpardonable. These people have completely rejected the gospel. They are still dead in their sin. Jesus said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him and He gives them eternal life and they shall never perish. He also promises to never cast anyone away and He will forgive our sin when we confess.
My pastor says that the slander of the Pharisees was their final rejection of the testimony that God was giving about the Son through miracles. They won't find repentance after this because the Spirit of God grants that. As far as Paul saying he persecuted the church of God in ignorance all I can say is he must not have seen the miracles. Thats alot of light. The passage where it says they would not have crucified the Lord of glory if they had known I would say this was God's hardening of them because of their own hardness. Its a continuous theme that Isreal has gone into rebellion when he saves them.
I am convinced that although these passages are a little difficult to understand, it is referring to the state of spiritual blindness. It isn't about the words themselves but what was behinds the words. It was the fruit of unbeleif not because of a temptation or anger. Jesus says all sins and slander can be forgiven. Well how are you forgiven of any of your sins? Through the Son. So these people are rejecting the Son. They aren't coming to Him for forgiveness. They put Him to death.
As far as concern goes the only passage that seems to suggest that an unsaved person may be concerned that I can think of is the Esau passage in Hebrews, but I would have to take another look and do research because it seems like other Scriptures indicate that fallen man is unconcerned about his state before God because they suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1 sounds like they delight in rebellion. But I dont know. I just know that if you come to Jesus He won't cast you away.

The Holy Spirit is the means by which we KNOW God - to blaspheme the Son of Man is to blaspheme in ignorance. To blaspheme after having KNOWN God is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. The elect cannot commit this sin. Neither can unbelievers. It can only be committed by those who were saved in the sense that they believed for a time, having escaped the pollution of the world, but due to a wicked heart of unbelief, fail to enter in to that door within the door - perfection of faith, the total, absolute reliance upon Christ. God forgives all sin if we confess our sin. The unforgivable sin is when you refuse to give up your sin & even deny the Holy Spirit because you don't want Him to convict you of sin. In that way you leave God powerless to change you into his Holy image & it would be impossible for you to be in His Holy presence. It's complete rebellion against God. Doesn't matter if its before or after the cross. You see it in the old testament; David is forgiven because he confesses his sin. Saul is not forgiven because he doesn't care about his sin, his heart turns away from God.
So yes every sin can be forgiven, as long as we are willing to repent & submit to God.

The unpardonable sin is not making donations to these people and shutting off their money supply. That is 100% unpardonable...

      John 14:18, 23
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

As a 73 year old atheist I am so glad I don't have to participate in this nonsense.

Well, the Bible does say that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them who are perishing. You are 73. You will not live forever. If you can take a real close look at Jesus Christ and yet reject Him, then you are truly under God's wrath.

James, can't you see your predicament? You are guilty of sinning against God Himself, and because He has given you a conscience, you know right from wrong. "Conscience" means "with knowledge," so isn't it true that every time you lied, stole, etc., you did it with knowledge that it was wrong?
Does the fact that you have sinned against God scare you? It should. You have actually angered Him by your sin. The Bible says His wrath abides on you, that you are an enemy of God in your mind through wicked works. But let fear work for your good, in the same fear of jumping out of a plane mid-flight would make you put on a parachute. Let your will to live open your heart to the gospel of salvation.
That's what God did for you, 2,000 years ago. He sent His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, to pay your death penalty in your place. Jesus died on the cross on your behalf, so that you could live. You are guilty; He paid the fine. It is that simple. The Bible puts it this way: "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us . . . But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Gal. 3:13; Rom. 5:8).
It was no small thing for Jesus to die for us. The only thing that would satisfy the demands of Eternal Law was the shed blood of the sinless Son of God. What love God must have for you! Jesus suffered unspeakable agony, so that you wouldn't have to be punished for your sins. Then three days later He arose from the dead, defeating death. His sacrificial death and resurrection mean that you need no longer be in debt to the Law, and God can now grant you everlasting life if you obey the gospel.
