Hi Champion Scale Modelling - I asked Eduard about the roundels and they are sending out replacements - very impressed! Wouldn’t have noticed until it came to finishing the model so thanks very much for the video! Thanks, Grant
Was just about to say 1/48 scale roundels , defo.wrong size have the kit on order will search for 1/32 markings. Well spotted . Good reveue hear your excitement.
Pity about the roundel issue, but making a set of masks would not be overly difficult, although I would probably look online for a set to use. (I bought this kit myself a week ago, so I am especially interested in the review!) I will have to look up the PDF as my Spanish Civil War references are thin, mostly being the Classic Books volume on the SCW, which is now 20plus years old. I want to do an E-1. Just FYI, the Bf 109 E-1 and E-3 were referred to as "Light" and "Heavy" fighters respectively until January/February 1940, when the designation was dropped as the E-1 proved to be "undergunned" compared with it's likely opponents The Hurricane and Spitfire, and the E-1 left production, although it was still to be found in combat units as late November 1940. The remainder were transferred to advanced gunnery schools and second line units until mid 1942, when there were almost none left.
It“ll be interesting to see how Eduard react, well spotted though. I‘ll probably cut masks for mine now - do the HB Storch decals offer a possibility? I‘m on hols so can‘t check, who knows we might be lucky (you‘re using yours of course. Best review Jason.

Just an update that I received the new roundels - look great.
That's exactly the BF-109 scheme I would choose for an RC version. Beautiful.
You wouldn't expect nothing less than perfection from Edward. Great review

Just purchased this kit today. Appears to be good value for money. I'm thinking of painting the rounds so I can fade them a bit
I'll purchase mine when they correct the error. Otherwise, bravo! Eduard!

I put a link in the description for the pdf if it’s of interest. 👍
I found a SCW mask and decal sheet for Bf109s in 1/32 at Hannants. Ordered as it has correct roundel sizes. No Masks tho. AML branded.
Very attractive, with an unusual camo!
Early 109 were equipped with a drop tank the e7 model. It leaked and pilots refused to use them.
Yes the 1/32 has always built up that way.....no engine sanding required
Damn shame about those wing roundels Jason!!
Agreed all though I think painting the roundels would be a good alternative

Just a white cross on the storch I’m afraid, yes masks is the most viable option, watching modelling videos on holiday!......just as it should be 😆
@@ChampionScaleModelling shhh mum‘s the word...
@@ChampionScaleModelling I guess it will be an easy build for the beginners !!
will you please do a video build along as i have the same kit
Most definitely 👍
I really hope this means we'll be getting a B,C, or D version someday.
That would be great, best chance is for the AMG ones to be up scaled, it’s a long shot though!
What's wrong with Eduard? Why put in 1 48 decals?
