Hey man I'm about 5 weeks in on my wave process. Have some in the front and in the back still working on the sides but probably still need to grow out with a little more. My issue / question is when I take my wave cap off within an hour my hair seems to kind of frizz 0:, 7 up and I barely can see my waves. Is there anything I can do about that or am I doing something wrong?
I personally get a 2.5 or 3 looks better to me if you want a darker look if your also a beginner the wave enforcer 544 at Walmart or amazon is a beast brush also recommend if you don’t want to get a new barber just cut your own hair then get the line and taper at a shop better for people got a barber that don’t listen to you happens to me more times then not also get a wave cap to go on top of your durag for people that have the problem with the rag falling off most of the time if it does come off with the wave cap by the time you wake up your rag isn’t fully off and the cap saves you

I have restarted waves countless times wash and style gets you in the game very fast day one if long her wash and style then get a cut wait 2 days then wash and style again try to do it 2 times a week and use oil , moisturizer and pomade and try to use natural products if not and people who can’t wear a durag all day I highly recommend hold hair spray and pomade Ik it’s not natural but it’s cool your head also another thing for beginners don’t spend a lot on brush’s until you know your in the game for good wave enforcer 544 and Diane 8159 is a good brush to start if you get the wave enforcer 544 get 2 one for wash and style one for dry brushing

2:17 depends on a few factors but for most getting a 2 with the grain hair cut will give you a good starting point
