ya... apparently only one album... and i was correct in Jon LEvin being the guitatist for later releases... i guess i mixed him up with bassist Tony Levin :)
@@offthecharts2272 John Norum's first two solo albums are great. You should check them out if you don't know them. Especially the second one, with Glenn Hughes. Love the later Europe stuff that he's on also.
@@roachman627 Hey mister :-) I'm sort of a fan of John Norum, got the first 5 Europe albums and the last 2 or 3... their recent stuff is very very good... I prefer it to most of their 80s stuff... I also have his first 3 solo albums... his first 2 are great (haven't listened yet to the 3rd). His second solo with Glenn Hughes was a must have, he's one of my favorite singers... and I have the one he did with Don Dokken
@@offthecharts2272 Oh yeah. They opened with Kiss of Death and like you said he came out like "look at me I'm a rock star". Oh and by the way, you should not say you like little girls on RUclips, could get you in trouble LOL.
So many great songs. Seen them so many times. The best was with John Norum & Billy White on guitars with Micky Dee on drums. Sounded great. Dysfunctional is my favorite album. "It's another day" their last song with George & Mick was a good tune.
Actually, since everyone is talking about Norum, a Europe ranking would be fantastic! They’re unique among their peers in my opinion, since their most recent is among their best. Joey Tempest’s voice is also still amazing.
I need to give erase the slate another listen. One I would have ranked a little higher is Lightning Strikes. Love that one. How about a Leppard or Diamond Head ranking?
The later stuff is amazing you really need to give those albums a chance,I think you definitely got the wrong idea of don, back in the streets is not technically a dokken album that was demo songs that the studio stole the demos and told Don they lost them and later put them out without permission Don later found out about them and threatened to sue unless he got them back Jon Levins first is hell to pay Jon norum is the original guitarist in Europe, he first played with Don on his solo album when they split up ,Jon norum played on up for the ashes, but lightning strikes again is every bit as good as dokkens first 4 albums ,hell to pay is great, even broken bones bones is a very good album, and please don't take this the wrong way but to many people that are not true dokken fans don't really listen to the later albums once they split up and when the original line up of George, jeff ,mick, and don are no longer a band some average fans don't really listen to the newer stuff and really should not rank the albums if they don't know the albums that well because back in the streets is not a dokken album dokken never released that
Thanks for stopping by, watching and commenting! Ya, i get that about the Dokken "Back in the Streets"... I know it's not an official Dokken album, but put it in there because I have it... :) Regarding Jon Levin vs Jon Norum, i know who they are but the names I get mixed up... :) I am aware that Norum was in Europe and Do Dokken's solo album... as far as The Dokken albums after the reunion of Dysfunctinal, I gave them as much a chance as I would have the earlier ones... Erase the Slate is up there as one of their best (imo)... and last year's Heaven Comes Down ended up in my 2023 Top 10! The others are good, but not great (again, imo)... But that's me.... Out of my circle of friends, I am the ONLY one who still gives a shit about this band and still buys their newer albums...
Hey there... yeah John Norum is from Europe... I knew he was on the Don Dokken album, but I didn't know he was on an actual Dokken album.

@@roachman627 i was aware he made critically acclaimed solo records, but never listened to them... i'm interested in the one with Glenn Hughes... :)

Good ranking Dan! I'm with you, I love Erase the Slate. So underrated.
Thanks buddie! You do remember the show in Mtl though? 😂

Yes i love Dysfunctional also! Only got to see them live once though... :/
My favorite from the album of erase the slate is the bonus track sign of the times! LOVE THAT ONE
ALL their bonus tracks are surprisingly VERY good... even better than lots of tracks on the albums! Thanks for subscribing!
‘Back For the Attack’ is my #1, mainly for that guitar tone. Really though, the second, third, and fourth albums are just about equal.
Sad that George had to multi layer things, though. If Don had kept playing guitar to add dynamics instead ... .
That don dokken album is soooo sooo underrated
To me it's good but... would have preferred a "Dokken" album..

One day for Europe for sure (as i dont own many - yet!)
Great White would be a nice one to rank. Lotta cd's by them. Give it a go!
I currently only have 2 albums by them (Hooked & their 1984 album - which is quite excellent i must say!)
Great vid mate!
Lightning strikes again is the best they've done in more than 10years!
It's growing on me... Thanks for watching!
@AndDeathForAll82 This one is for you! Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you!!
@@AndDeathForAll82 np! Was a good and easy episode to do since i know their music very well. 🤘🏻

Thanks for watching! I have half of Leopard’s discography so far so that one will be doable in the future! 😋
Your top 5 - I’m in the same exact boat. Fun band.
Hey - is that whiskey your’e sipping ?
Its actually Grand Marnier…. Started as a joke on episode 1 and a coworker suggested i do it every episode , including the “ting” on the glass. 😂
