Olmo was deadly good too, idk how he had such a good match
As far as modern football coaching is concerned Arteta is as good as it gets. When we signed him I thought “Pep 2.0 or knock-off Pep” we all know how it’s turning out. My only concern in this match was allowing the CBs to overlap for the corner kick that resulted in the counter attack from which they scored. Such mistakes will be very costly against top teams especially in champions league. Other than that it’s 10 / 10 for me! Or on Havertz; he wasn’t my favorite player at Chelsea but considering how much thought Arteta puts into decision making I have to trust him. I have a feeling he’s the type of Gilberto Silva player “invincible” you only notice them when they’re not on the pitch. I believe he was bought for three main reasons; 1) breakdown attacks from the front 2) provide goals from the middle 3) deputize as CF / false 9 when needed. I’d rather we buy BITELLO instead as I believe he can play that role better!
I experimented this sort of formation/tactic in a FIFA save once years back. Effectively a 3-5-1-1 with a ST up top, just below him is a CF looking to remain in space, and a healthy 2 CMs and a deep CDM. The formation was hard to master. I was more hesitant, and less willing to be attacking unlike Arteta. But in theory this should work and get results.
The main thing was losing Saliba and having 0 replacement with the same level of ball playing skills. Made us very flat when building from the back I think. Timber was brought in to fix that, unfortunately he got injured but hopefully he'll be healthy for the second half or the final run in
I'm glad Arteta tried these tactics. What I have a problem with is people blaming Arteta's tactics as the reason we were frantic in te last 20 minutes even tho we had quite a few chances to kill the game.
This looked like how Pep starts each season slow with Man City by changing formations to drill them. Maybe it’s a UCL prep, but it’s definitely on prep.
I don’t understand the fans complaining about Havertz and a 2-1 win. It was the first match of the season! Its encouraging to see the flexibility in formation, personnel and tactics being employed by Arteta. Last season, the tactics worked until they were figured out. Won’t be the same this season.

Arsenal have a good squad depth this season. They have 14-15 top quality players who can go on to win the league. Manchester City have a similar size of top quality players with a few squad players. In terms of player personnel, Arsenal can more than match City. If Arteta can push his players to become the ultimate winning machine, the league is in Arsenal's hands. The only thing that can hinder their title push is if they make deep runs in the domestic cups and Champions league and run out of steam. They're not used to the insane number of games City play almost every season. The departure of Gundogan will definitely hurt Man City because he thrived under pressure and played his A-game in crucial moments. Kovacic is a great signing but to find another player of Gundogan's profile is very difficult. Complacency and a lack of desire may affect some City players but Guardiola will definitely root out such vibes. I'm a fan of both Arteta and Guardiola. But I'd argue that Arteta is under more pressure to win the league this season. He's got the squad he wanted by spending big. If Arsenal fail to win the league, it will be a massive disappointment for the coach and players. Let's hope that the premier league will be as competitive as the 2018/19 season.
@@chillahslocalI wasn't necessarily referring to Forest, and not every non top team plays low block. Having said that there is more to a low block system than you think, it's not just about defensive shape and players behind the ball you have the attacking transition to think about.

sorry, but football is played season to season. There are no prizes for developing talent, only for winning the competition. Arsenal can impress people all they want but trophies are what matter. Hi, I'm not meaning to nag, but maybe it helps. When I'm concentrating on your explanations, the way you pronounce Havertz always kinda breaks my thought. ("He's done it again!") The emphasis is on the first syllable. HAH-vatz. Think of people with similar last names like Lenny Kravitz or Chloe Grace Moretz. The -itz/-etz/-ertz bit is not being stressed, the first syllable is. I know, in Havertz' case, the extra "r" makes it look like that's the big important syllable of the name. But that "r" is not being pronounced. Thanks for your excellent analysis from Germany.
Fans make me laugh! We are playing a new system, With 3 new players against a team who defended with 11 man who also was just kicking our please and trying to win the league against the best team in the world and this is is only game 1
there are some interesting points in this match. Firstly, Arsenal faced a team with huge gaps of personnel quality so spamming the magic box shouldn't be the problem, their only conceded goal was from a set-piece situation. Arteta is truly overthinking about this squad, for now. Secondly, i would like to focus on Saka's flank. Saka played very well, almost like a 2nd Arjen Robben, however, i don't like Arteta's tendency to trust Saka all over the flanks. Normally Ben White would see to to either overlap or underlap to create some time and space for Saka to dribble, but he didn't do it at all, also Forest was quite clever isolating Saka and Odegaard. Letting him handle the flanks all by himself? Not optimal, when an attacking fullback provides so many benefits, it is not the best way to maximize a winger's ability. About Havertz, he's not so influential, true, but that's Kai unique style. Of the 3 higher players in the magic box, Kai is the one that has the lowest ball usage. I still cannot unnderstand why Arteta bought Kai. Raumdeuters are extremely hard to fit in any coach's idea. Let see what he will do next
Yeah tbh that was a bit pish, we were crying out for a conventional right back, both in and out of possession. Relied on 2 moments of individual genius, lots of safe possession but created little else, and looked vulnerable whenever Forest could evade the initial press. On paper this should have been one of the easier games of the season. Don't change too much at once, Mikel - integrating 3 new signings as well a brand new system, of course it'll be disjointed and awkward
There is not any Target Man ,tall and strong CF , like Haaland, Toney, Lukaku, Giroud, Djeko, Benzema. So we will struggle against low block teams, as we did last year in our stadium. And there is not anyone behind Saka in RW. If he gets injured, or tired or underperforming, there is noone behind him. All the time we a buying CBs (we have 6) and CMs. Havertz may improve, but now he isn't as fluid, resist pressing and with good vision and movement , as Xhaka had last year. I hope we will get Olise or another top quality RW and a strong, tall CF
Until that goal from forest the match was turning too onesided and boring.these are situations that we need to face and stay strong.these situations will make us stronger going forward.this was an ideal situation to make a mistake and learn from it.
hi, if it's not too much to ask, would you consider not writing the score on the thumbnail and title of video? love your videos but it could spoil it for some.
When do people start thinking in seasons instead of one match? How many PL winners have started the season out terrible only to come out on top at the end? A lot!
First half the formation worked well but second half we needed to switch things up. Havertz was dreadfull nowhere to be seen we could of gone to a 433 second half
Depends on the opponent. Forest is a very robust and physical team, a classic English team. We need a CF presence in the box, hence Eddie and then Havertz as CF when Trossard subbed on. You can see that Eddie have built more strength from season to season. Anyway, I don't think Trossard will be used as false 9 anymore. Jesus/Eddie with Havertz as our shadow CF will be the main tactics this season. And Trossard will be used as LWF or LCM like we saw in the pre-season tour.

Hi FMS, could you make a deep video of the german supercup, cause i am a bayern fan and i have no idea why we lost. Pavard played as wingback, davies as a supportive fullback, wich doesnt make sense, pavard should have been the 3rd cb and sane should have given the width, also gnabry should have inverted to be the free 8 and davies should have been the wingback. Olmo was deadly good too, idk how he had such a good match
saka is insane for his age 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hale end is the only world class academy in London Chelsea are nothing but quantity… look out for a Saka regen soon soon 😉
We could not do this last season and everyone had worked us out by the end of the season. The increased flexibility is going to be so key
The main thing was losing Saliba and having 0 replacement with the same level of ball playing skills. Made us very flat when building from the back I think. Timber was brought in to fix that, unfortunately he got injured but hopefully he'll be healthy for the second half or the final run in
Fluid moves yes,but am glad you spotted the sloppy defensive error that gifted Forest their lone goal!
You mean foul on Havertz which should have been a penalty for Arsenal?

I feel like Arteta is slowly coaching this team for the UCL games more so than the EPL. The formation and personnel changes are really intriguing.
This looked like how Pep starts each season slow with Man City by changing formations to drill them. Maybe it’s a UCL prep, but it’s definitely on prep.
Arsenal can never win ucl.
I don’t understand the fans complaining about Havertz and a 2-1 win. It was the first match of the season!
Its encouraging to see the flexibility in formation, personnel and tactics being employed by Arteta. Last season, the tactics worked until they were figured out. Won’t be the same this season.
I know it doesn't relate to this video but i think an analysis on Newcastle's game against Villa must be made, they were cracked

I want to know why Arteta wanted Declan Rice, is it because he see's him as a future replacement for Thomas Partey? we all know he can break up play but I just dont see him in the Xhaka role. Surely you would want a ball carrier in that position someone like Frenkie De Jong for example who can make them forward runs from the build up play someone who can drive our team forward instead of someone who chooses for safe side and back passes.

It definitely will be
I would like to see tactical videos made on teams other than just top teams.
A low block tactic video would be 20 seconds
@@chillahslocalI wasn't necessarily referring to Forest, and not every non top team plays low block. Having said that there is more to a low block system than you think, it's not just about defensive shape and players behind the ball you have the attacking transition to think about.
@Cooperslowblock I never mentioned forest & even with all you added it would be a 30 second video unless u drag it
@@chillahslocal I can tell you have never been involved in football before.
From what I can see, it's impossible to teach this in a season. Outlying how a growth mentality can change the fortunes of our club.
It's heartening to think that we aren't even close to hitting our ceiling with a new line up not fully in their stride yet.
sorry, but football is played season to season. There are no prizes for developing talent, only for winning the competition. Arsenal can impress people all they want but trophies are what matter. This game showed that they are not thinking of trophies, which has disappointed the fans. First game should always be an impressive statement of intent. Not slipping out the back door.

Good vid mate - but where is Steve Cooper's score and analysis? - TBF he should of started with Awoniyo and Elanga, Brennan was never enough and Arsenal simply camped on one side of the pitch.
Can you please came out with your own analysis of the Bayern vs Leipzig (0:3)super cup match.. I still don't understand how the Leipzig 4-2-2-2 functioned against Bayern 4-2-3-1
Leipzig 4-2-2-2 is just a paper, in reality it is 3-5-2. So Bayern can't penetrate the defense of Leipzig and their counter attack.
Pep the inventor...❤
Anyone noticed Rice giving commands to the other players throughout the game? Arsenal have got themselves a future leader
Hi, I'm not meaning to nag, but maybe it helps. When I'm concentrating on your explanations, the way you pronounce Havertz always kinda breaks my thought. ("He's done it again!")
The emphasis is on the first syllable.
Please do Newcastle vs Aston Villa as well
Fans make me laugh! We are playing a new system, With 3 new players against a team who defended with 11 man who also was just kicking our please and trying to win the league against the best team in the world and this is is only game 1
What about city’s new tactics? You already writing off Manchester City @footballmadesimple ???
there are some interesting points in this match.
You didn't watch the game. Ben White overlap. Don't talk if you watch highlights
I think this tactic was used by city against inter ucl final like a diamond midfield
Didn't really work for them though, Inter probably created the better chances
I don't.think soo these is new tactics boss
Arteta cannot come with his on tactics it has to be connected to pep ,what a you saying arteta doesn't have a brain to come up with his on things
Party was pretty good today I thought, kind of what I was hoping for from rice tbh

I don’t get why arteta doesn’t start trossard it’s baffling
Depends on the opponent. Forest is a very robust and physical team, a classic English team. We need a CF presence in the box, hence Eddie and then Havertz as CF when Trossard subbed on. You can see that Eddie have built more strength from season to season.
Anyway, I don't think Trossard will be used as false 9 anymore. Jesus/Eddie with Havertz as our shadow CF will be the main tactics this season. And Trossard will be used as LWF or LCM like we saw in the pre-season tour.
@@looniaz probables was we seriously lacked creativity and trossard really adds to that think he should be leading the line with saka and Martinelli that front 3 is terrifying and can go toe to toe with most in Europe
@@looniazthe real reason why Trossard doesn’t play is arteta has his favourites. Trossard has high game IQ, links up well with other attackers and is a clinical finisher with both feet - absolutely no good reason why he’s left out.
