i feel like when xbow stopped targeting air it actually got a BUFF because its usually used for offense and it would be harder to lock on the tower when it targets air

That's fine as long as you're only going for the gold reward. Intentionally not matching up vs. pros to get there doesn't do anything since you'll have to battle them in phase 2.
