I'm thankful that in Missouri we say that when a fella tell you that he only sells face cords, that he's just telling you to your face that you won't be getting a cord. You see in Missouri you can only sell legally by volume 4 by 4 by 8 or by weight seasoned around 3500 lbs green around 5000 lbs.
I hear ya. I don't like how processors do the wood. This is a little more work ie: exercise but it works perfect in our stove. I cut 22". I'm buying a load of logs 20-22 ton give or take. Works for me.
Everybody has their own system set up of what works best for them. Seems like you have yours all set up. Is something happening to your grapple hydraulic cylinder or is the guard just crooked?
mornin harv, good vid man.. nice load of ash, shame that ya have to worry about thieves now days. thanks for the vid harv, merry christmas to you folks, be safe
that will work with ash because ash will burn good after very short time of being cut but oaks and hickory need to be split and seasoned before buying. I sure do miss ash trees the green borer killed them all here and the last of the standing dead rotted at least 3 or 4 years ago
I stay 2 years ahead. Still have lots of Beech in tree lots the foresters are marking for loggers to harvest, No market except fire wood buy they're all dying of blight also.. Usually it's a mixed load. I still have 2 years worth of standing ash and cherry on my property.
Now the fun part begins.....Merry Christmas to you an Miss Joanne. At least ya have the right color tractor. Dem-a-rats would rather steal it than buy it.....damn shame. Good to see Miss Joanne out there helpin ya.
That whole load was Ash. He just brought some stuff over that a property owner was giving away. Mixed good hardwood and some pine. Is what it is. The pine I'll burn in the outdoor firepit in the evenings.
