Thank you sooooo much for this video on pronunciations! The phonetic descriptions in books are not perfect, so your video is super and invaluable. All the best!

Oh my gosh I'm so confused. I'm learning the letters through DuoLingo and using Google translate and GOT CHAT as back up. They've saved the double vowels for last and now I know why! It's so confusing to hear the computer words spoken! For instance I understand that the character 와 is pronounced "wa" but when the learning system has me practice speaking the double vowels in words such as in the word 황 or "hwang" it sounds like "hang" where the "w" is silent. So I asked the AI chat if the "w" is silent and it said "no". But then the AI CHAT went on to say that in words it's not pronounced "hwang" but rather "hawng" with the w being very subtle. That seems to make more sense because it does SOUND like that's what both the audio of DuoLingo AND Google translate both sound like.
Please help!!! I've been doing so well and absolutely LIVE learning Korean! But this has got me so frustrated to the point where I feel I can't move on with my lessons until I figure this out.
Can you please clarify for me?
