Great plants! I get the whole "neglecting watering" stuff. Been cultivating since 2006, had 2 major depressions since and as collateral damage I lost almost all my plants each time. Many were 10-15 years old seed grown plants, notably a very nice N. lingulata, N. jamban and many N. bongso "Black". So now I'm grafually building back my collection, but will install a proper drip microirrigation system, which will at least function as a baseline watering regimen in case sh*t hits the fan again (you never know). The trick is to not overdo it and adjust the amount of water per plant according to your conditions and seasonal changes, so small amount given by drip irrigation would function as a lifeline in between sparse and more focused hand waterings. I feel like I'm rambling now but just thought this little piece of advice was worth mentioning. It truly is heart breaking to lose some plants, let alone an entire collection. Cheers and keep going!
Loved this Blake. And also loving the fact your still on capillary mats. Transferred all of mine to that system since your video and absolutely love this! The roots go nuts through the pots this way. They may be fine roots but they’re crazy happy
Hello just stumbled across your video and i love your collection and i like how relatable they look and how they arnt just absolutely presteen deff got a sub
I want to order a Veitchii squat with stripes. I was looking at a nepenthes Veitchii K x pink candy cane CAR 0253, will this be squat with guaranteed stripes?
Ambient tempts in the intermediate tent are 75/80⁰ F days and 60/65 nights. Ambient temps in the lowland tent are about 5⁰ warmer, but the whole thing is on a heat mat, so the root zone is much warmer
