One of the things that Trent does better than anyone is integrating music into his videos. He always seems to pick a track that fits the mood of the video, and blends it perfectly with the other audio. Very nice overall.
Ugh.. I LOVE his videos and HATE that really bland pseudo dramatic music. Add some Black Sabbath or Cream and I'm good. If you wanna see great integration of music check out Tally Ho. Leo does it truly perfectly. And changes it up. This stuff is like the goofy music Warren Miller had. But again, Trent's footage is amazing so I'll stay and just have my hand on the slider on the mixing board.
Being able to treat an airplane like an adventure Jeep is so cool
I watch RUclips more then cable tv so I love 30 min or longer videos
I SECOND THAT EMOTION... Any vid under 20 is a cartoon short, like in the old daze... 25:00, I call BS, waste my time, harumph...
Broadcast TV is DEAD. Boring, contrived reality nonsense is for the birds. High-detail YT content is the future, now.
Whenever I see the notification come through that you've posted, it makes my day.
LOL...of course a pilot would call a hitching post a "horse tie-down"
🤣
For a bush pilot ... too much horse power is when the horses grassing in the middle of the runway won't move, even after 4 very low passes!
That looks like so... Much fun! Some day, I'm gonna have to get myself a kitfox and go flying with you guys.
Hello, I have seen all your vlogs🤩
I think that would be a great collaboration
i agree.. one day i wanna get involved in the adventures of flying
I’d love to see that!!
This aged well haha
BEST 27 minutes this sunday morning.. Regards and keep FLYING SAFE.
This guys lifestyle is unreal. Talk about living life to the fullest! I live Vicariously through you man! love the visuals
FWIW that metal drag thingy is called a "Fresno Scraper" and is what was used to cut roads, dams (and airports) back in the dim times. Usually pulled by a team of horses or mules.
In that part of Idaho, most things are pulled by mules or horses. Don't discount it.
Folks like you think there aren't still places that exist where things are still done that way, but there are.
no Trent don't shut your mouth about fishing because #1 we love hearing your passion for fishing & #2 is the fact that you're learning how to fly fish brother and fish in general so keep at it my friend.
muchlove
DUDE I Needed this today. Wife is sick 2 of my elderly Neighbors are sick. Just me here to take care of them all. SO HAPPY I CAN DO IT! Feel blessed to abole to do it. This video just gives me a few mins of down time. Thanks for that. What a true blessing. God Bless !!
Even 10 minutes away to clear the mind makes a HUGE difference. Thank you Trent!
I felt like I had been watching for a while and when I saw that I still had 15 minutes left, I couldn’t be happier
Trent where is the better half haven't seen her for a while great vid aircraft looks good .nice on Sunday morning Freedom Fox with a good coffee and beautiful country . God bless be safe up there
Next time you're up near McCall, fly up around Loon Lake. There is a crashed WWII bomber up there, not sure if you can see it from the air, but cool nonetheless
Sounds like Mike Patey will have Everyone's back with Scrappy!!
I can't wait until that beautiful monstrosity flys.
@@Josh-dr3fj I hope he's registering patents. The big manufacturers will be taking notes!
@@stotheh you know he has, he hasn't made that kinda money by not patenting his designs
The lifestyle they have is strictly because of the rad planes that could almost take off and land anywhere with minimum runway , so cool, thank you brother
With the exception of that new intro, this is probably THE BEST video you have made in a long time, Trent! I didn't know they still made Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Great video!
Yea PBR and the old intro are the best...
Welcome back to my backyard. Flew to Pinion peak last weekend. Everything is all smoked in now!! The upper loon creek has a horrible story. Few years ago during the winter a dad went down to clean off the runway for his son to land. Dad ended up in loon creek with a cat. Son landed and found his dad while walking to the ranch.
America is a beautiful country man. You can just own a plane and just fly without being afraid of anything. Wow!! that's heaven right there!
That old piece of equipment is called a “fresno”. I pull mine with a team of mules. Replaced by the bulldozer in recent times.
It’ll eat your lunch if you’re not careful 🤠
"That's how wives' tails become wives' tails" *Shakes Trent's prop*
I'm not sure why that sequence got such a chuckle from me.
That “elevator shaft” was Wave, a beautiful thing for sailplanes.
I doubt it was wave, when you look at the max altitude he reached it was still quite a bit bellow the cumulus clouds around him, making it impossible to catch have laminar flow around him. Also you can see that when he says « it’s quite chilly around here » the plane is still bumpy/in the middle of turbulences, again impossible in wave. So most likely it was just a good thermal :)
But yes wave is amazing for gliders :)
@@tibvl7113 maybe, from my flying experience it looked like wave.
Looks like a fun day of flying!!
Amazing. The Middle Fork and the Frank Church Wilderness is magical. One of my favorite places on this planet.
Got a cold, so it's sniffles, chicken noodle soup and Trent Palmer videos.
Nothing wrong with 30 min. of great flying, rivers, back country, fishing and camping.
What a cool series Trent! That Snake is scarry!!! Thank you so much from Switzerland! Daniel
I saw this video when it first came out, but had to watch it again just to relax. Wish I could give it another 👍👍.
The big snake would have been an appetizer at dinner.
if it’s like here in 🇨🇦, that rattlesnake is a protected species.
"Its like landing at my house" - Best line in the video!
Don’t know if you saw it, but your drone flew past an eagle on the left at the 22 minute mark. Really loved this one Trent, all the different landings were fantastic. You are so lucky to have such a verity of places you can land. As for the snake, why didn’t you catch it and throw it on the fire. Such a waste. 👍👍👍👍👍
You never have to feel like you should apologise for a long video Trent. Loved every second of all that gorgeous countryside! Thank you!
That has to be the nicest and cleanest KitFox in the world.
I love the good judgement on the audible!
Great radio comms. Really good coordination and judgement.
Looks like so much fun!!
Sometimes I sit through the video to watch the local areas you fly too, sometimes for the awesome music, sometimes for both lol.
25 mins., and hour and 25 mins., I’d watch it all! These videos are like my dream flying. Awesome! Thank you!
Beautiful country…thanks for flying thru it.
I very much prefer the longer videos, 30 min is perfect.
I relay like your videos. Meany moons ago, before light sport was a thing, I built a Challenger. I was also an acquaintance of Jim Millett, the guy who started the kit plane "Hornet." I had to sell my plane shortly after I finished it (I needed the money), always wanted to do it again but I just never had the money. Anyway, I don't mean to be rude, BUT! "Ruff Air" I loved that about flying... it reminds you that there is something between you and the ground that's holding you up there.
Amazing video! I just found your channel. I grew up in Idaho and lived just about 8 miles from Homedale which is now the home of Kit Fox. I always wanted to fly into the back country but didn't feel confident doing so, especially in a rental aircraft. Stopped flying 30 years ago when I was transferred overseas and never picked it up again. . All my flying was out of small uncontrolled airports in Idaho and Arkansas with about 290 hrs logged. I used to fly out of Nampa and Caldwell a lot. I am now retired and live in Wyoming, but don't feel safe flying anymore so I am flying vicariously through your videos. Thank You!
SOO friggin cool! You are literally living the dream!
Watching this is better than anything out there! Thanks for sharing. You are blessed.
That looks amazing! Thumbs up from a brazilian PA18 pilot!
Love that you’re getting into fly fishing .
You're videos are very professional and thought out,
you put the add at the end so we don't have to fast forward through it.. thanks!
You’re probably one of the only RUclips’s where I watch the videos all the way trough and still enjoy it
👍👍
Good to see your videos are back to the good ol’ style !
WOW! Brings back so many memories. I sold my C-172 straight tail in 2019; flew it in the back country of Idaho many times during the 24 years that I owned it. Somewhat limited in terms of power but was able to fly into and camp at many of the back country airstrips.
Many thanks to Trent for reminding me of the memories.
Hey Trent. Love your you tube. I grew up on the middle fork. My dad was the ranger at Thomas creek and Indian creek guard station. On the Thomas creek Landing there was a lodge called Harrah's lodge....from the Vegas Harrah's Casino. Yes they brought in multiple cars...including a couple Model T's.
I like the frequency with which you mention eating!
If there is a cooler and more enjoyable way of living, I haven't seen it yet. This is really inspiring. Thank you for sharing your adventures and the amazing places you go. Cheers!
so good to see you out and about Trent look forward to many more video adventures whish I was there
I don’t miss any of the guys flying videos I’m gonna have to watch this again unfortunately had to skip through some cause I’m taking the wife and kids camping for a week and leaving in 20 minutes lol the looks I’m getting while watching a bunch of guys flying planes around I could feel the burn on the back of my neck lol
Your music rocks!!! Will you make us a playlist? Please.
Agreed the music is great, but, I checked out the link he gives for music content...
unfortunately it is a paid subscription service for content makers. So🤷♂️
Super dope flying!
Awesome mate, camping is always so much fun but doing it from an aircraft is next level! 27 mins of good quality entertainment, cheers Shoey 👍🏻
Sweet video! Landing at 5:58 = butter!
I have to say Trent.... 21:43 I am so jealous of that fishing spot!! I wish I owned a Kitfox or even a SuperCub, I am just flying threw your videos!!
No shoes but a puffy coat in the summer… Rad
of course awesome visuals but the real impressive moments are in the decisions you all made. Stay safe, fly again,,
"vast knowledge of fishing"....great video. Thanks
I live in McCall and watched your videos of the back country strips.
Nicely done!
Honestly, love love love the longer videos. The additional work it takes is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you Trent!
EPIC, EPIC, EPIC. All of it. Thanks so much Trent, for allowing us to tag along. Loved it.
The Bernard to Lower Loon is one of the missions on the old Flight Simulator. It was interesting to see the actual terrain, and even though Flight Sim is now all that detailed I was impressed with it's accuracy. Thanks Trent. Great video.
What an amazing skill level and cooperation. This makes me glad that regular car drivers don’t fly. They can barely handle 4 wheel vehicles on the ground. This level of skill is far beyond them.
If I can get lost in the video such as this one I do not really care about the time. I understand different strokes for different folks, but I really enjoyed this one and keep it up. You need to fly into one of the campgrounds your wife manages and do some fishing and camping with her. In any case take care.
When I was a boy we flew around the Brazilian hinterland in Cessna 172s and commercial DC-3s. The afternoons were always very bumpy and uncomfortable due to the heat and the resulting rising currents.
Awesome video Trent. I always hated flying in rough air. When I got my license I always thought I was a bad pilot for not being tough enough for it. It was really nice to see a pilot as accomplished as you say the same. Lol. So thanks for that!
Love the planes and flying, show more of the camping ⛺️!👊🏼🤠
I’m new Sub and love the content, just more camping content! I love aviation just not brave enough to get my license 😅
I always enjoy your videos! Beautiful scenery, flying, and your music is always awesome! Thanks!
I’m here at the end. I am an old pilot that doesn’t have my medical and had to part with my beautiful V-Tail, S Model. I can feel every landing with you and the bounces at altitude. Thanks.
The sky is super clear up there, SE Idaho is so smoked out right now with 5 mile visibility.
This... add in some fly fishing and this is my dream.
used to fly into all those strips on my old flight sim all the time, that’s way cool.
TRENT, hope you're busy workin'!
It wasn’t that long. I stayed to the end. I enjoy your videos in the outback so to say.
Hi Trent, a nice, entertaining and refreshing video.
Titled flying, fishing and camping, so you could have included in eight minutes,
having fished in the river with those friends, preparing a fish dinner barbecue and how good it feels to sleep in camping.
I would have liked to see more histories in each video and something more from the people around you.
In a few minutes add some more experience and your videos will be even more beautiful.
Comment any tips, detail or advice on piloting, maintenance of the plane, how to land or take off, when flying over mountains, etc.
Where you can learn a lot, is watching videos of Charly Sinewan.
Greetings.
Greetings.
Very nice. Love the remote Idaho spots.
I don’t know if the clips in this intro are any better, but the music and vibe in the old one was definitely better
I've flown Cabin Creek before. Good memories! Thanks for the post!
Fly fishing was my thoughts exactly. Nice show really enjoyed it.
Been subscribed for I think a year. I have no pilot experience at all. I’d very much like to pursue that certification. That said, I’m in the pipeline in nursing school locally, here in the state of Nevada. I had an “interest” in obtaining my pilots license. Watching your videos motivate me to move forward.
Too much on my burner at the moment but I definitely want to pursue a tail dragger cert.
Keep the videos coming, I watch them to decompress from the studying I’m required to do to pass school.
Thanks again.
Bro, these longer flicks are the best!
Awesome trip!! Thanks for bringing us along🤘🤘🔥💸
I think you make best video about bush aviation! Best regards, your fans!
It's a hitching post. If you notice there is still a lot of them around in Idaho. Cool video.
Its so easy to tell what kind of aircraft is landing at a major airport when it goes boeing, boeing, boeing
Thanks Trent, a very very good piece.
Good to see you flying! Stay safe and having fun!
That was an excellent use of 27min. Ive been marking all these spots on my google maps so that i can one day possibly fly into some of them myself. Idaho is just plain ruggedly gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
That looks like the best possible way to go camping! Being able to see that no one is there and everything, perfect
Hi Mr Trent, nice watching you flying... I subscribed to your channel.🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
“I hate rough air” hey he’s one of us! -me every summer flight 🤣
Awesome video. Love seeing you fly around that area. My grandpa passed away in a plane crash 8 minutes outside of big creek landing strip in 95, be safe out there my guy! Thanks for the awesome videos and scenery!!!
Yellow Bird
I look forward to your videos. Love my new hat! Keep up the great flying! Thanks for being real and genuine.
One of your best. Not even sure why, but really liked this one.
I got my hat yesterday! Thanks Trent! Love it!
I’d watch 25 minutes any day with content like this. Keep it up Trent!
