Cheers guys. Love the idea of making videos like this to thank those we respect and are inspired by. And that graphic? I might have spent a little too long on that one...
Colin and Samir are here! Man I am seeing the intricate connections of filmmakers on RUclipsrs from you guys, to this channel, to Casey, just everywhere! Man I love this filmmaking community!!!! I love it!
I loved this video. It was a good story for sure. I started running everyday a few weeks ago as well. Maybe I'll try to bring my gimbal with me once lol. I'm trying to stick with the run everyday thing for as long as possible. We shall see what happens.
Casey needs to see this! As Casey always says, the way to reach him is not through tweets or emails but through a creative way, this is very creative and actually very motivational. I love the way you portrayed your story. I hope Casey sees this and I wish you the best of luck on your goal.
MAN that was amazing!! had me burst out laughing a few times. Especially when you acted out how awkward it could be meeting Casey, that's exactly how i felt when i got to meet you at the outdoor adventure travel show lol.
Hey Levi ! Awesome Video ! I like how you have put some *casey stuff* (like painting surfaces and then write on them) but in *your own way* , with some digital writing instead of paint ! Keep doing *creative work* like this, it's really nice to see ! It's funny because yesterday night i've scheduled my trail running competition races for this season.. If you want to run with me in the Alps, feel free to reach out to me, i could show you some nice mountains too ! (btw, this year my main race is a 49km with 4000m elevation gain, big challenge for me!) So you'll not be the only one to train hard to *push his limits* ! And of course, i'll make videos about it too ! See you soon Man !
And this is a real offer, my girl and I would be honored to have you and your wife in our flat for some days ! Oh and also ! There will not be a Q&A video today ?
Always liked watching your videos bro, but todays was definitely the most enjoyable. I Really enjoy seeing what you're up to - but seeing you tell a story like today is even better. Keep it up man!
SUPERB video! OMG that was fantastic. The shots, the pace, the story, the music, holy mother of god that was great!! Interested to know your process for this - did you do alot of thinking, planning, scripting, or did you just make most of it up as you went? Man that was the best video I've seen in a long time - loving your work bro - SO inspirational! Thank you!
You definitely made yourself vulnerable with all the acting and storytelling. Loved the video and the push of your boundaries. I truly hope you can meet Casey, run with him and MAYBE make something. Run, Forrest, Run!
...and, I'm back. Such a good video. I'm excited to see his new 368 project. I never really watched his stuff as I always felt like I was starting in the middle of a 'season' if you will, but started watching yesterday and am up to 2 days in a row! lol I'm with you on running. Even when I was in the best shape of my life i've never been particularly fast or necessarily enjoyed running but having an actual 'goal' was always super helpful in getting that motivation to get out every day and run and you've got a pretty cool goal! We had to peace out of Canada as we were a bit behind schedule and I hate we weren't able to meet up, but it needs to happen soon. What conference is this you are talking about? We will be west again this summer as well. Lastly... Steph said your thumbnail was clickbait since we never got to see you run without your shirt. ROFL!
This is too funny!! But a wildly awesome goal and we will all be here to push you forward. Take it nice and easy - but each new run, push that little bit harder up that hill! Wish you the best brother!
I know that I've stumbled upon your channel before, but this video and your storytelling got me to finally subscribe. I also starting running/working out recently. I've already lost 20-some pounds this year and I'm finally starting to get used to my new routine and sometimes even enjoy it.
Ironically, you're doing the same thing for other filmmakers that Casey did for you. Great storytelling and work. Happily subscribed...(and as a Philly native, I appreciate the Rocky theme).
This is my favorite video you’ve ever made...great job!! Casey is an inspiration to me to...and this video couldn’t do a better job of capturing my thoughts thank you 😁
Love your stuff, Levi! Good encouragement for me as well - the storytelling part. :) I am planning on doing a weekly blog on my training for my 100 miler this fall. Good job getting out there!
Love the idea bro!! Glad filmmakers are arising from the aspirations of many figures like Casey and Peter! They inspire us and at some point we will inspire others!! Keep going
Man, that was different from your usual style, but I liked it. Keep it up, man. You're just killing it, lately and I'm excited to see how your channel is growing.
As a fellow Casey fan (and yours as well!) I approve! Top of my bucket list includes meeting Casey and making a video with him - with the new 368 project of his I see this entirely possible, more than ever before!
An inspirational video of your own!! Casey has inspired me to create my content too and taught me how to tell a better story. Its great to meet another creator from the lower mainland! Good job on your channel!
Haven’t watched a video in a while, the quality of your content has exponentially excelled. Definitely going to link up notifications. Thank you for your hard work!
Great work Levi. Love your story telling, edits and goals. Would love to see this happen for you. I love the unique style you have taken on the the growth and traction behind your hard work in recent months. Keep crushing it, keep running. Will definitely cross paths someday.
Looking forward to you coming back to the west coast. Having you at Craft + Commerce 2017 the first time was nothing short of awesomeness! Truly wonderful to have you back on stage at JUMP again. Boise, Idaho has a lot to offer. And getting you and Casey Neistat for a run would be sick! My suggestion would be Boise's famous Greenbelt. It brings the beautiful outdoor scenery that you love and the running he loves, together on a trail that covers the best of Boise. See you this summer!
That was awesome 👏 Loved it, the outfit at the end is hilarious 😂 Also you have inspired me to set my alarm to begin running again tomorrow morning. #runwithneistat 🏃♂️
Love the vid Levi! I’ve been running cross country and track for the last 7 years and would love to share some tips to help you! 1) start off running around 20 mins a day (5-6 days a week- consistency is key) 2) once or twice of those runs add 20% more time for your weekly long run 3) on days that you do a regular 20 minutes run, follow them with 4-6 100 meter strides at about 80% of your speed with around a minute break 4) one out of the 5 days running can be a little shorter (20%), but at a faster pace (make sure to follow this run with 4-6 strides, and try to lengthen your stride) 5) when you feel comfortable, maybe every week or two, add a few minutes to your base line run (so your first week may consist of a 20 minutes base line jog, but maybe your second week is 23-25 minutes) 6) CONSISTENCY IS KEY!! Work hard and you can easily run with Casey! (Bonus) Take 5-10 minutes after every run in insure that you aren’t super tight and sore the next day! Good luck!
Check me out on Strava or twitter, I’ve posted my last 16 days of activity, let me know what you think. I accidentally did one day way to long, but I’m mostly doing what you’re talking about here
Leftcoast okay so I see most of your runs are about 30 minutes with a few shorter and 2 wayyy longer (congrats for those really long runs!). In your case, I think your doing pretty good for now, in terms of your running and mileage your putting in. I would say try to keep your time around 30-35 minutes for your runs and try increasing your pace- I would try to get 3.5-4 miles in your regular day. On long runs, I would try to keep them about 50-55 minutes, and again, just slightly up your speed (try and shoot for 6-7 miles). These longer runs should happen about 2 times a week with recovery runs (average 30-35 minute run) and maintenance runs (30 minute run that are slightly faster) in between. These are just pointers, feel free to use them a loose guide for your training! Good Levi! (Ps if you want, I can make a spreadsheet of a workout/run regimen for the next few weeks of training!)
This video is awesome. Love the quality, the story, everything about it. Glad I found your channel a month or two back. I myself have tried running. Did a 10K three years back then took a year off, tried everything under the sun to get healthy a lose weight. I found that eating healthy is key, the running sure helps though. Got though 5 Whole30's to really figure out what to eat and then along with running a 10 mile last year joined Orangetheory Fitness. I'm down 70 pounds and working out 3 to 5 times a week now. Not sure how many there are in Canada but they offer a lot of studios and so when I travel there is usually one near by where I can use the membership from mine to workout. Good luck with meeting Casey, keep making cool video dude!
Great video Levi! Each video us getting better and better lately. Keep pushing! I fell into similar production life unhealthy traps. Decided to change that this year and completed a tough Mudder event. Just uploaded a video about it. Best of luck to both of us with health goals this year!
great vid levi. I started running a couple years ago (5 or so) as I was giving up smoking. It was a tough time but know I can tell Im a legit runner and I really like it. Just stay focused. Quick tip that helped me improve are these spotify bpm running playlist where you are following the beat. its good to run balanced through the whole run. hope that makes sense, sry not sry bad english. cheers
Nicely done! Hope it works out Levi! Two biggest tips for sticking with it... #1, it’s going to hurt for the first couple of weeks to a month, and you’ll experience a lot of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). It’s normal, and even as an Ironman triathlete, I get it at the start of every training season too - you just have to push through, break out of the mold your body became accustom to, and keep going every day or two until it begins to feel good. #2, find a training partner or someone around your level to regularly run with. They’ll push you when you’re not feeling motivated, hold you accountable, and you’ll do the same for them. You’ve got this! 👍
Nice! Congrats Levi - that's awesome! I actually never got into Strava, but may give it another try this season. In any event, keep up the great work, and looking forward to the update video! 👍
Hey Levi! I'm a runner from NYC. Ran the NYC marathon 4 times. I recommend you also supplement your running with strength training like squats and lunges. This will help your muscles, bones, and joints to get stronger so you don't feel too much pain and avoid injury! you make awesome videos dude, keep it up!

Can’t wait for an update #RunWithNeistat
Oh man...I laughed so hard at your attempt to watch as many RUclips videos in a row. I'm the right now. Un motivated to runand caught up in the gear and not making movies. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not the only one!
Not a runner but a hiker, but I have some tips for you that helped me in my sporadic runs. Don't run on pavement and land on the ball of your feet, this is going to help a lot with pain and is going to prevent knee injuries, and running on a trail is a lot better. Great video man, keep training!
Hey Levi, great video and epic challenge. I found your channel while searching for videos about Final Cut Pro X. I've subscribed and now you've inspired me to run - I'm starting my own daily running challenge TODAY!
Wow man your a pretty inspiring dude yourself. Love watching people create things like you and Casey. Hope I get to work with you on something one day 🤘🏼

MAN that was amazing!! had me burst out laughing a few times. Especially when you acted out how awkward it could be meeting Casey, that's exactly how i felt when i got to meet you at the outdoor adventure travel show lol.
Oh mannnn Levi! This is epic and inspirational and awesome. You got this 👏👏👏
Your story telling is getting so good. That was super entertaining!
Pure video gold Levi! If this pitch to run with Casey doesn’t work, nothing will mate!!!
I’m no Neistat, but let’s make it a goal to run together this summer.
Yes dude!
Can i come run with you too? I am out of shape as well...
WOW i see a lot of RUclips people i watch are commenting here!!! I AM SO HAPPY to see you here guys! :)

50k.. Man, that's awesome !
Less than 300 nice people to reach..
Always liked watching your videos bro, but todays was definitely the most enjoyable. I Really enjoy seeing what you're up to - but seeing you tell a story like today is even better. Keep it up man!
Multiple laugh out loud moments. Thanks for the fun video!

It’s a pretty wild idea. But if it helps me get active, I’m happy
Told matti haapoja to tell Pete to force Casey. Hope that helps :)

Dude! You're too funny. Love the 80's looking pants BTW, and good luck with getting that run with Casey. I'll look forward to seeing that post.
Thanks for reminding me about my high school years. That was a lot of Napoleon dynamite music. Loved it. Good luck on running.
I know that I've stumbled upon your channel before, but this video and your storytelling got me to finally subscribe. I also starting running/working out recently. I've already lost 20-some pounds this year and I'm finally starting to get used to my new routine and sometimes even enjoy it.
Loved this video, story and the work you put into getting some simple shots!
You're awesome Levi!!!! Loving your work all the time :)
Very enjoyable watch and I have no idea how you came up in my feed! Which I love!
Bernie in sydney and one of Casey’s earliest subs!
Ironically, you're doing the same thing for other filmmakers that Casey did for you. Great storytelling and work. Happily subscribed...(and as a Philly native, I appreciate the Rocky theme).

My MAN THIS IS EPIC LEVI! I really love the way you tell stories and i hope you get to #runwithNEISTAT :)
Exactly 3 months and your dream came true. You rock! So happy for you, that you got to run with Casey. :) Keep it up.
I needed this video. It's like you're me doing this video. Thanks Levi you just made me feel a lot better about all this.

First video of yours I have seen and I have to say well done Sir!! I'll be subbing and watching more
I did start running some time ago.. running away from responsibilities.

Love this man. So fun!
awesome video, and awesome story man, looking forward to your run with Casey
Great video Levi! Each video us getting better and better lately. Keep pushing! I fell into similar production life unhealthy traps. Decided to change that this year and completed a tough Mudder event. Just uploaded a video about it. Best of luck to both of us with health goals this year!
You can do it man, we believe in you
haha awesome and really funny video Levi! goodluck and hope you get the chance!
Awesome video man. Very well put together!!
Hahaha loved it Levi!! Keep sharing and working out!! You will be able to keep up with Casey 💪🙌
Loved your presentation from last year at that conference!
great vid levi.
Hey Chris thanks for the tips! are you on Strava? I'm currently 22 days and counting into my training. I need to make some video updates : )
Nice! Congrats Levi - that's awesome! I actually never got into Strava, but may give it another try this season. In any event, keep up the great work, and looking forward to the update video! 👍
Great! I've had the same problem procastinating, but started out a few days ago! Let's go man! Keep going!
Awesome little story :D I wish you the best luck! Greetings from Germany, love your work (:
Epic video mate. Great story telling! One of your better vlogs.
just watched your video for the first time. SUBSCRIBED
Awesome video. Make sure to stretch and stay hydrated! Also, don't sell yourself short, being around the Slacklife guys totally kept you way more in shape than you might think. You'll do awesome.
You'll get there. Don't worry. I have faith in you. You do amazing things when you put your mind to them. You're a great inspiration to many other people
This was really really really good storytelling. I hope you get to do this!
Great video man! I hope your wishes come true 😇😇😇
Sounds like you’re describing my running abilities there in the begging. Lol
Dude you are just awesome! keep on running :)
now it's one of my favorite video on youtube : ))
You are killing it. Amazing work.
Great video. 10/10 on the story telling. Honest about your short comings. I love it. And What a great motivation. I’m sure you got the body shape to be great Runge and I’m sure you heard that before 😂 I’m definitely supporting you in this - if that’s any help. Be easy on yourself on your first runs. That strategy seem to work for me at least. You know, some times just getting the running shoes on is enough succes for one day. Like they say. The key to success is low expectations 😉✌️☀️ good luck. Can’t wait for an update #RunWithNeistat
Levi you NAILED it.
Love the video, great job!
Aaah so cool! I got so happy when I saw your calender Levi, i'm from Greenland. Just came back Ilulissat :D
