Also, why would the Dr think they need to explain to Jason that it’s spread thru bodily fluids & not airborne. It’s not like she knows he’s not from this world. She would assume he knows exactly how it spreads and what is happening
That was a bit of Exhibition needed in order to inform the audience on how the disease is spread. The Irony is right before they told them how the disease is spread, I simultaneously wondering if the disease was spread by air or not. But it was kind of cheesy for them to just randomly mention that.
Terrific episode and world building
Do you think Jason was the One who killed Amanda in the World where they met Amandas mother grieving her?
That’s a good possibility that I don’t think will ever be answered but it could definitely be something that indeed happened.
I think episode 3 is where things take off and 3-5 have been fantastic but DAM was this episode stressful

You’re thinking too deep… plus it’s pretty plausible that people may be misinformed or not informed at all during a pandemic

It’s a television show, they tend to do things like this all the time. It’s always meant more for the audience than the protagonist to be honest.
