    I like your channel because you show us only the food and preparation accompanied by some lighthearted talk with the hawkers. Most food vloggers must show their face and very little is given to the main character - the food. I also appreciate your providing us with information such as the location and price.

    When I was a baby we lived on the Upper east coast rd and my parents would bring me to Bedok corner for the sea air. When we returned to SG in 1969 we lived on Jalan Haji Salam for a while, my father was shocked by the land reclamation that had taken place. Lots of RAF personnel from Changi would visit the Makan stalls at Bedok corner for late night eats. Thanks for the memories Tuan

    During NS we were at Bedok camp 3SIR from sep 1973 to June 1976. We frequented Bedok corner often and I remembered the fried Hokkien mee stall there which we patronised often. Delicious! $2 per serving.

    This place is also known as Bedok Corner - the design of the place is similar to Adam Rd Hawker centre except bigger, spacious and with plenty of parking spaces (most of the time). It is a go to place for makan esp when doing NS

    Thank you so much for the video. It made my mouth water!! As a malay singaporean who has grown up in Australia, it brought back memories of my trips back to SG as a child. Looking forward to the next time I'm back in SG.

    back in the 90's I did my ns at 1 of the 2 camps nearby, we used to go there to tarpow our food during nights off. The hokkien noodle guy has aged a lot I remember he used to wear this thick gold bangle or a rolex watch while frying up his noodle sometime have to wait 45 min to 1 hr.

    My memory of this hot and cold Chng Teng is way back the the family was selling rojak so tong with pour dried cattle fish, the family used a hammer and pound it on a wooden log. Very memorable

    You answered my question at 19:30 about whether or not to order the oyster dish. What's the trick to not getting food on your clean white shirt? Thanks for tasking us to this hawker centre. The prices are amazingly low. Good as I hope to be there early next year. I just looked up how to make the Nasi Ambeng. Yikes, it has so many side dishes and ingredients. I doubt if most people make it at home.

    Wow, the Cheng Tng is $3 now. Frankly speaking, it is just Cheng Tng but it was unique with its 70s vibe brown tinted bowl. Now, even the bowl is gone.

    Will occasionally drop in as it isn't too far for me. Normally buy the ayam penyet. As for the hokkien mee, I've never tried it before, but my maid totally didn't like it. Maybe because it's her first hokkien mee and she doesn't really know how it should taste like. Maybe I should try it one day and decide for myself.

    What time do the stalls open/close ……is it 7 days/week? Everything looks delicious….I’m a big fan of chengteng #1…. looks like have to bring an extra stomach to eat everything. Hubby used to live down the road in the 60s and my family would frequent those original seafood restaurants operating from old colonial bungalows , eg Red House etc.

    Hmm, I'm intrigued Piggy. How many of these 'Happiness, I created it myself' tee-shirts do you have? They are always so bright and crisp and white each time they appear despite the occasional encounter with belacan sambal. Most of the tee-shirts I buy are lucky to last 30 washes (yes they're cheap). So is there one Happiness tee-shirt or many?
    Oh, and I just put Bedok on the list for next trip. It won't be until February, but Bedok is definitely on the list.

    • @elizaeri1295
      @elizaeri1295 Год назад

      It's not easy to have the mask on for long especially when it's hot in the kitchen....they're deprived of oxygen ( pity that uncle, he needs it most at that age) and it will have impact on their health on the long run especially the big C....can't beat natural breathing...
