I have had wireless charging for years and they are situated in every corner of my home, office, car, you name it. I do not do wired except in emergencies. Love my Dex. Who am i kidding, am just a Samsung fan boy 😂😂😂😂
I definitely miss my wireless charging the most. Everything else is a wash really. I was hoping for 50w wireless charging like on the Xiaomi. Also I would have liked the 4 main camera setup from Xiaomi as well with the higher 5x periscope zoom.

Going w Z Fold 5 because my carrier is offering 1k off after trading in an iPhone 7 that was sitting on my drawer. Yes 1k off. I’ll just trade it for the Z fold 6 as I expect Samsung to address the major complaints. But I like Samsung software better and want Dex, stylus apps and gestures.

The One Plus has only 3 speakers on there site. I love the back of the Pixel Fold and it lays down on the table the best and the big round back on the one plus played out Jay. Also the notifications isn't good one plus like Fold 5 and Pixel Fold. Pixel has the best pictures.

I agree on all points though they really did a good job whether its Oppo or One Plus. I dont know if ill get rid of my fold 5 for it but this will definitely stay in my rotation.
One plus open, Xiaomi Mix fold 3, and Honor Magic and perhaps pixel fold have better designs, however z fold 5 has better software and features. Next year I predict the z fold 6 ultra will take the crown as best Foldable of all time.
Samsung has wireless powershare and charging, water resistance, s pen gestures and utilization when my fingers get tired and for photos from a distance , Samsung health , Samsung flow , Dex , Samsung TV , wireless projection better speakers and dolby vision, etc
I wanna look into getting the one plus it's all three of those phones (Google Samsung and Microsoft) if they tweek their software and improve the camera a little bit it's going to take over from Samsung

Great review, ive been team Samsung for many years now. I finally decided to try something new. Sold my Z Fold 5 and switched to the OnePlus. I am very happy with my switch so far. Hopefully Samsung steps it up with the Z Fold 6
In terms of software experience, do you see any disadvantage of One Plus over Samsung?
Samsung got lazy and complacent because they've been at the top of the game and have dominated for so long. I heard that for the 6, they are actually reverse engineering a Huawei to figure out the hinge design and the lack of crease.

Just being different the One+ Open gets a point . the design and the size being a balance size on the outer screen gets a point . full internal specs at the price evn being expensive still cheaper than the current choices gets a point , having a fast charger that charges in under an hour and being included in the box gets a point , wireless charging is not that important as it does nothing to improve function it's no different than putting the phone on a dock . the software on the one plus gets a point
I really do love the surface duo. I hope they figure something out with the surface phone in the future. Phones are trying to become everything and if Microsoft plays it right and focus on making a very boring simple ass OS likely apple they can gain alot of fans.
I care about wireless charging and reverse wireless charging and im not trolling at all. I believe a $1,700 device should have all the flagship features. Also the front camera should shoot video in 4k@60fps. However i do love the design of the One Plus Open the best.

J. Technically, the oneplus is a 3rd generation device because it's hardware is identical to oppo find n3 which is 3rd generation product.
I owned all these three devices and honestly I couldn't agree more with everything he mentioned in this video.

Guess too much praise been given for One plus fold...definitely acknowledge that they have done good job for 1st generation, but it is not perfect....and it has its cons....software wise---Samsung is the best..jus my views..
I love my Open but the omission of wireless charging was a terrible decision. The reason people didn't list it on your poll is because it's not a "premium device feature". In 2023, it's an EVERY device feature. $199 phones have wireless charging.

Depends how you view software cause the OS is smoother and it has open canvas and can multitask better with 3 apps more than the other folds. When it's two apps it's all about the same.

Which price? All of them? or just some? The Open is the most inexpensive option at 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM. The other two at the same storage amount cost a couple hundred dollars, or so, more.

I agree. i have had some problems where my phone (Galaxy S22 Ultra) quit charging half way through, on a wireless charger. I have had this problem with other phones and wireless chargers. They also charge more slowly.
I'm the same way. My Xiaomi has 50w wireless charging, but I just don't like how hot the phone gets when I use it. It charged pretty fast, I think like 45-50 minutes. My 120w charger that comes with it charges in under 30 minutes and don't really get that hot at all. It's almost 1 1/2 years old now and it's still going pretty strong.

the one plus 9 pro I had a few years ago was the worst software on a phone I have ever had. It scares me to get the oneplus open due to my past experience lol but looks awsome

Everyone that demands wireless charging seems to be okay with not baving a charger. Which makes no sense. A premium phone should have that as well. France and Brazil did not allow apple to pull that bs. Wireless charging is still too slow. One person mention having wireless charging for the sole purpose of preserving the charging port. I can totally respect and agree on that point only
If only Honor didnt drop the ball on the global release date of the Magic V2. Smh. That phone smashes all three of these

Actually we have wireless charging pads throughout the house. Everyone has different set ups and different cars. Cars come with wireless charging now. Yeah it charge faster with a cord but batteries shouldn't charge that fast to protect the lithium battery life. Thats why Apple slows your charging speed down if it gets too hot. Apple in my opinion are the masters of Battery. But i am hoping Samsung gets the Z Fold 6 right. Pixel Fold 2 or Z Fold 6 for me. America banned China Devices for a reason. Samsung Camera is Underrated but I prefer the Google Pixel Fold Cameras the most. And Professional editing.

🎉 Just based on the sample video footage I thought the z fold 5 won. I have a hard time choosing the 2nd and third. I think pixel fold and the open is very close to say which is better, but for me the z fold 5 wins. I liked your skin tone and voice the best on the z fold 5. It just how my eyes and ears saw it. Great comparison video.
I posted this before. There is no denying this Oneplus is the world's best phone. Even if the Honor Majic V2 is a bit thinner, the OnePlus has the better screens, cameras, and software. It even works with the Find N3 Bluetooth pen on both screens (!)..
Three app Multitasking is finally a real thing, instead of the cheap toy GIMMIK in Samsung phones. Samsung is a joke to hold vertically in multitasking.
The OnePlus Form factor is what Samsung should have been two iterations ago. To still bring up Samsung is just no contest in any department.
Yet, In the American market, we still have TWO choices, because you cannot compare "Apples & Oranges", which is what the Pixel Fold is. Just because you have essentially a "swiss army knife" that does it all good in OnePlus, doesn't make it the better "daily driver" it should be. It's a choice of "Apples to Oranges".
I'm going to post my observations why the Pixel Fold should not be compared specifically against the OnePlus:
**Pixel Fold has the proper outer screen width, which is actually the "normal" width of most phones. That's a reality being denied by fanbois.
**Pixel Fold has faster cameras with most natural colors and no lens flare.
**Pixel Fold pocketability is better as it's more compact.
**Pixel Fold weight is balanced, and not top heavy, because your hand is forced to hold the OnePlus under the camera bump(not mentioned!).
**Pixel Fold hinge can stay in infinite positions (almost closed and almost full open).
**Pixel Fold has better waterproof rating (important).
**Pixel Fold has wireless charging (not as important).
**Pixel Fold newer OS is still more polished/less glitchy (for now).
**Pixel Fold gets latest Android OS first.
**Pixel Fold outer display can do "tent mode" like a Surface Duo, for outer screen video watching.
**Pixel Fold outer display will show a larger screen image in that landscape viewing, because of greater height in landscape.
**Pixel Fold is not "directly" comparable to the OnePlus, because it retains a "niche" passport size form factor, whereas the OnePlus is absolutely directly comparable to the same height of Samsung zFold, which is the real company threatened here, not the Pixel Fold...😮

yeah i def picked up the green on launch day, and it def smokes the fold 5. They def did their thing, i had the oppo find n 1 and 2 and always had the best hinge that hides the crease the best. Also I love the swipe down feat to start multi task, adding the 3 page etc. Even how the hinge opens it makes it so easy to open and makes you want to use it unlike the PF I had. Also I agree Ill take the 60 plus watt charging which i only use for 30mins at night to charge up then it last me until the next night? I never use wireless charging, its subjective but ill take the fast charging then another 15w wireless charge? People are saying that because they want to justify why they cant get the oneplus open, and prob are stuck with something they dont prefer anymore now that the open is out. like you said the value for the oneplus (its really a 3rd gen, just collabed with their sister company oppo) you get 16gigs ram, 512 storage, instant 200 off trading any phone in. You get a charging brick in the box, case, and free earbuds that are amazing.
fyi also oneplus spen support on the outside and inner screen, also if you didnt get the insurance through oneplus get it at allstate only 8.99 just upload your reciept.

who carries a wireless pad with them when they walk out of their front door? not me i take my wire and brick with me and thats also faster than wireless. And the best part is that while charging with wire i can actually use the phone, but while charging wirelessly i can't it has to lay there, personally i dont charge over night (simple habbit even with the option to put charge on hold until morning) i dont trust that and wont ever. I never wirelessly charged my iphone 14 pro max neither did i on my z fold 3/5 even though i got a wireless charger, never saw the point of using it since its slower than wired and the down side is that every time a message pops up you have to remove it from the charger to reply so whats the point :D.

Just did on the launch date!! Absolutely love it man. All you have to ask yourself is do you need the wireless reverse and normal charging ( I dont) and the 10x zoom ( above 10x is useless atleast for me). I felt I don't take those shots unless I'm travelling and I went and bought it. Boy I'm happy. The screens, battery and the overall experience has been good. I'm not kidding here, I just loved the s23u and same thing went in and out of my mind. But in the hindsight the best decision for me. Two things : they have most of Sammy features here but you got to dig it. All the features are jumbled up under different sub menus. The cameras are the best non over processed mobile phone photography in some time. Man like the Sony Xperia mark V, if you spend time and know to take the shot, you'll get some mouthwatering shots like some old point and shoot and mirror less can give. But coming from Samsung it's not going to be like wow immediately. But raw plus and video in log mode is really going to really give some good shots. Also in display if you like the punchy contrasty all color screen, do remember to setup the vivid option in display. I rock the D5 pro mode which is what most professional monitor are calibrated to. That is my fetish though. So I can with confidence say you'll not be disappointed. And best is it is still on Android 13! Android 14 is touted to bring more z fold software features here. Battery life is insane. I'm getting 10+ SOT!!! I wasn't even getting that in single screen S23U. Hope this helped. Let me know what way you went. Cheers

I love your analysis and comparison. It is by far better than most as it's honest. I've had the Oneplus Open for 5 days now and have played with the Z Fold 5 and the Pixel Fold. The Oneplus Open is far superior to the other two even without wireless charging and waterproofing. I love the IR blasters and the dual app or windowed app mode which is killer on the Open. The crease is almost non-existent, which is why I bought the Open and not the other two. I was going to buy the Google pixel 8 Pro and then, literally two days later the Open came out and I pulled the trigger on buying it. It's the best phone decision I have ever made, outside of choosing Android over IOS. One other thing I almost forgot. I read somewhere that the Pixel Fold is rated at 400,000 folds. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rated at 200,000 folds and the Oneplus Open is rated at 1,000,000 folds. Let that sink in.

Agree 100% OnePlus doesn't launch "experimental" phones that may or may not work (Like the first Samsung fold). They get their sh!t straight and release a ready to go phone. That's why I didn't hesitate to get the Open, because I've been using OnePlus for years, and I trust that whatever they release is just going to work.
Came here to hate as a z fold 5 owner lol just kidding but i might eventually need to grab one.

No competition here. Oneplus open is smashing it. Samsung chose to ignore the fact everyone is complaining of the useless outside screen that's not fit for purpose as it's too narrow. Pixel improves but tensor is just not up to the job. OnePlus. Great screens great software great cameras.

Pixel fold better than both of them. Just for the sheer size of it form factor and the cameras hands down a better than the other two in every way possible. I've tried samsung folding phones and sent them back in the past as the front screen is absolutely useless
