Ahh thank you so much for talking about how the spice is in books! I feel like I can never find someone who has a godly perspective on reading modern books.
I know I don’t comment much, but something I wanna say is that yours and Sam’s marriage is so sweet and encourages me to wanna wait for the right girl if God’s will is for me to get married, often I get lonely very easily and even tho the marriage itself won’t be perfect, knowing God knows best, helps me. And seeing how happy you and Sam make each other makes me smile so much!

Marriage is a blessing to have and if God doesn't want you to have a girlfriend for another 3 years so be it. But I'm kinda the same way. I see my cousins having boyfriends and I'm like where's mine!? But the truth is, I'm waiting on God's timing of when I should start dating. & So I encourage you to do the same!! Just know God's plans are WAY bigger than anything we could ever dream of.

You should read the If I Run series by Terri Blackstock! Based on the books you like, I think you would love that series.
Hi Jaclyn! You and I have similar taste in books and preferences when it comes to spice. I also started the acotar series nervous about spice. I will say, if you’re okay having to skip over the spice like I do, the series is 100% worth it to finish. Throne of Glass is super good and has no spice! And Crescent City also by SJM is amazing!! No spice in the first, a few scenes in the second but honestly my favorite series. The SJM books are so good to read and makes having to skip over the spice so worth it! Sorry this was long, just wanted to offer my thoughts :)

I listened to the first book in the ACOTAR series a few months ago and was apprehensive to start it because of the spice (I don't like spice in books either), but I ended up enjoying it enough to at least get the first three books in the series and will read them soon(I've heard the last book in the series has the most amount of spice, so I didn't want to fully commit to getting the whole series). I agree with you that Sarah J Maas does a good job with her writing and worldbuilding. I will see how I feel about the next two books and decide from there.
Loved the book club section! I felt the same way about If He Had Been With Me. YA immaturity is just not for me I guess 😂. I was also disappointed by Speak Now TV - by both the Vault tracks and the lyric change in Better Than Revenge 😔
I’m neutral about the lyric change but I actually thought Speak now TV had the most Vault tracks I like. I feel like on all the other TV albums I’ve only liked 1 or *maybe* 2 Vault tracks…this one I actually liked almost all of them hahah
But I might be bias because Timeless gave off the same vibes as Oh My My My from debut which is one of my fav Taylor songs overall
