There is no basis of these igbo people going to beg APC led government to free Nnamdi Kanu. If Nnamdi Kanu has committed a crime against the Nigerian State, let the Court tell the World and sentenced him according to the law. If Nnamdi Kanu has not committed offence against the State, then why is the APC government still holding him? For every action, there will always be a reaction. Nigeria is probably the most under policed country in the world relative to its population, so the NPF should be tripled and every state should have at least 100 K police forces and every local govt should also have a 10 k force. As far as preventing abuse by State Governors, which by the way cannot be worse than Presidential abuse of the NPF, but the federal and state constitutions need to be updated, each state assembly has to play a role in oversight, and most importantly we the people have to stop eecting these incompetent crooks into office and then using CSO's continue to pressure the executives for better governance, Lastly end immunity for Governors so they can be sued and impeached for mal administration

The way to solve the insecurity situation in the South East is to actualize the agitation for Biafra. Simple.

The truth be told irrespective of who is involved. Nigerian federal government has refused to obey its court judgment on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. What is happening to Nnamdi Kanu presently is persecution, not prosecution. There's Simon Ekpa because Nig govt is holding Nnamdi Kanu. As long as the govt continues to play cheese with Nnamdi Kanu, they will continue to face challenges in the South East.
I think Mazi Nnamdi Kanu continued detention in prison is what is fueling serious unrest in the entire south East region.

The opportunity to broker peace and ease the unsecurity was misused by Buhari who in his notable hatred for the region😢 rejected the plea of an elder stateman, Chief Mbazuluike Amaechi. That would have been the best time to release him with condition which Chief Amaechi had asked for then. The frustration of that refusal to release MNK for him to symbolise a birthday present led to his death weeks after. This points to the level of wickedness of the leaders of the country!

Mr. Sylvester Ekeozenwa, as a lawyer who is aware that sometimes cases in court already could be dropped without any trail, how would negotiate such outcome with the Federal Government if given the chance? It is easy to ask for the release of Kanu despite the fact that the court has asked for his release. As Seun has suggested this matter is in court and a hearing coming up in September, who knows the Federal Government may lose the case at the Supreme court which will mean automatic release of Kanu. Recently Kanu has said through one of his lawyers that the issue of Biafra is not negotiable. Perhaps this man should have been released few months after he was arrested if he had gone the route of plea bargain but instead, he sues the Federal Government for one thing or the other while still in custody. custody Every Nigerian supposedly want Kanu to be released either way but with a commitment for him and his group to drop the agitation. The agitation is the key issue here and it appears the leaders of the region have been playing around not addressing the main issue that is being going on in the region for many years. Most people in the region do not agree with the idea of breaking away from Nigeria, therefore the leaders of the region must get their acts together on what they really want. For the President, who is doing everything possible in his short time in office to unite the country he may see it as sabotage of his effort with the continued agitation for Biafra. The leaders must address this issue before going to the President for a mutual reconciliation to take place. The leaders of Southeast need to resolve issues with Kanu for a lasting solution to the situation in the Southeast.

There is nothing wrong with a peaceful agitation for a separate state, rejoin or country. Nnamdi Kanu is an innocent man. Federal government of APC refused to release Mazi Nnamdi Kalu before the election because they thought that it would affect Peter Obi's votes. Federal government thought that IPOB would disrupt people from coming out to vote believing that southeast being Peter Obi's strong hold, would affect his votes. APC permutation failed them. APC don't have the interest of the country at heart, that is why they use force in everything they do, instead of dialogue. Self determination is not an offence. Dialogue can heal every wound. Federal government should release Mazi Nnamdi Kalu so that we can breathe fresh air.
