Looking to purchase this, but which ones have the Samsung emitter option? I don’t see where it can be selected.

@@cheule the black alu version has the p9, the white arc alu is samsung. All ti versions have samsung also.

@GeneralKato Bummer, I just received the White Version, and it has, unfortunately, for me, the Samsung version LED. They should have mentioned that when ordering! Oh well. Great review, by the way! 👍

I dare say the idea of that clip is for a backpack shoulder strap or even the collar of your shirt while trekking through the forest if you didn't have a headlamp

The clip is really stiff and it's not easy to get on my shirt collar. It definitely stays in place but I would rather use a different light for this type of use. The magnet is one of the strongest magnets on a flashlight that I ever used. I use mine for my metal shed. I don't have a light in my shed, but I use this light so I can see around my shed and I have changed my oil on my lawn mower and my motorcycle, using this light. It stands on the concrete really good, or I just use it on the ceiling or walls of the metal shed. It's a awesome light and it looks brighter in person.

Definitely a webbing clip: shoulder strap accessory webbing, thin sternum straps and MOLLE panels look like the intended use.
Something new? Just glad to see anything other than an olight.
I review anything I can get my hands on, olight just happens to push out lights faster than other manufactures.

I had heard of Wuben, but something about the name never caught my attention. So I’m glad they shipped this out to me. This is a quality light. I’m also in progress with their X-2 light. It’s a cool side by side light. Review will be done shortly.

That's a very detailed review of the X0 Knight man, love it! Wuben sent me the same model as yours. Thanks for the lumen tube test, thought the rated output was a bit lower and I was right, but still, it's not a deal-breaker. Love the emitter and driver combination as well and it's a really neat piece. Thanks man, new sub here from Manila.

Yea I gotta say I think the strong clip is a plus doing airsoft wars at night and moving around a lot having this attached and not worrying about it falling or even moving from its position it actually amazing I love it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a light this amazing I can’t recommend it enough honestly. I imagine this would be an excellent combat light for soilders.
This is exactly what I’m looking for. To go on my bag strap.
Even though I spoke I’ll of the clip, it’s ideal for bag straps.

Excellent review. Love that you can easily change the brightness of each mode. Anduril 2 does this better but is much more complicated, and really 5 modes of brightness is enough.
The next step in this ui would be the ability ,with a very long press or something similar, to disable a mode. No more blinkies etc, until you factory reset.
Hopefully this mode changing will become standard.

Great informative review. I have a few wuben's and this XO is so cool although your absolutely right about that milled clip.......love LOVE the look of it, very reminiscent of the high end titanium pocket knife world. But it's completely useless as far is I'm concerned. Which I know you said wasn't a deal breaker but for me it totally knocked it out of my edc rotation. Thanks for all the epic content my guy love what your doing!

Wow! Best flashlight review i have seen so far. Instant sub. I really like the design of this flashlight, and the custom modes had me sold.
UPDATE: I got it a few days ago, clipped it to the hip belt on my backpack, and was very surprised that i even the 1 lumen setting is enough that i can see where im going. Of course the light doesnt reach very far, so 1 lumen is definitely not good for navigation on difficult trails, but as i like to enjoy the dark, it was very nice on the road. This will also be a very comfortable night light in a tent. Energy efficiency (hours of lighting divided by Watt hours) also seems to be really good, although im not an expert on the subject. I sat the other lumen settings on the lowest they could be (Turbo is 900, and can not be changed), and for the most part, i dont need more than 15 lumen. Based on the battery life on the other lumen settings, i guess 15 lumen will last for 80-90 hours, which is enough for a whole week of night hikes and camping, and im thoroughly impressed that such a small flashlight can pull off such a feat. I really like dim lights and energy efficiency, so together with the handsfree operation, this flashlight is close to perfect for me who like to use hiking poles for longer hikes. Definitely my new favorite..!

I’ve ordered one on the kickstarter campaign, ordered the brass version and never thought about the weight… it is gorgeous but excessively heavy for an EDC flashlight. Quality is top notch though
Yes, brass is a no-go for me on flashlights. So very heavy. I don't even like copper much, for the same reason. Aluminum & Ti for me.

I've had this light for a couple months now having first seen it reviewed on another channel. Previously I owned one of their pen flashlights which was an ingenious and interesting device in itself. I can't fault this company on their engineering or workmanship which is excellent. However getting answers from them is like pulling teeth since there seems to be a large language barrier. I currently have on order the X1, X2 and a pen with light and blade in it. Ordering directly from the company results in fairly slow shipping which could be either availability or the course that the package needs to take. Not sure if they come from overseas or have a distribution center within the US.

As you know, China has been reeling from the zero tolerance policy. I know another flashlight I ordered during 11.11 sale just arrived.
Ya my order also came from mainland China and took close to a month to get here. Still worth the wait though.
Good review . Check the screws , on my flashlight were loose and one from the clip came off in my pocket. Also i got a extra battery in the package ,idk why .

Hey there Cheule, you mentioned about the "ceiling bounce app" do you have any recommendations on what app is best to use when measuring light? And, how high would the ceiling be from the light source when you're measuring? TIA for the response man and I would definitely appreciate it. Manila says Hi.
Ceiling bounce is an android only app (I’m deep into the Apple ecosystem). So I use a lumen tube and a Sekonic C-700-U for CCT and tint.

Clip would be great for a backpack strap or even coat pocket exterior while hiking/walking. Can't you take a pair of pliers and bend the clip an 1/8"?
It would be great for a back back strap. Just unsuitable for pockets of my shorts or jeans. The clips is incredibly stiff, I assume I would mar it with the force required to bend it, it possible at all.

You might gripe about the clip, but it could be good for attaching to a head band if the need arises.
I was unpleased about it they way I use it, which is front jeans pocket carry.

Great review, i have the grey ti version. If, for whatever reason you want a less easy switch, remove the blue sticker. Then only a center press down will turn on and off. Still though, I don’t like this UI. Lumintop and Manker have done so much better UI’s.
Light works (with levels) while charging, if you manage to press the button.
I like this light in ti so much, i wish it had anduril and warmer options. This UI is meant for the masses but this design is for the flashaholics.
I really hope this light design will do so well in the markets, Edison will decide to do small special runs with anduril and kelvins below 3k. Yes Mr. Edison, they will sell. I don’t want to mod my ti version.
My daily's have changed which i thought wasn’t possible. From a 2k mule with anduril in ti and copper (Hanks 2k e21a mule) to this… with a Thor 1 in ti for the distance.

If like me you walk dogs early each day, winter walks are revolutionised by a light clipped to a coat pocket. The tight clip you can be sure it wont fall off if u bend over .Really great kit. The brass is beautiful and solid. HEAVY ifweight is anv issue. Review excellent but for a newbie tech measurements dont mean much to me..
Would be nice if they also sold an extender for one or two extra battery's for longer run time.

I just wanna make sure that I don’t get a white one that has the cool white but I noticed that the black one says it’s 1100 lm and I’m thinking that the black one is the one that has the cool white. Oveready BOSS FT 35. The “best” edc in the world. Powered by the LuxRC 371v2 engine, a web programmable engine that is simply nuts.
Really appreciated your thorough review, I just think the form factor of both lights are atrocious.
In hand, it feels great. It’s much smaller than it looks.
From "off" to double click "strobe" makes perfect sense for self defense.
I dislike strobe that is easy to access, because I’ve never needed it. And, if someone is going to attack you, a flashlight light won’t stop them.

I go with olight perune 2 and perune 2 mini. They are purely indestructible and built to last for the price asked. Watch vids

How accurate is your LM meter. i mean their website states the full power is between 300-1100lm
My lumen tube is pretty accurate, but remember there is a P9 version and a lh351d version which is less bright but high cri.
@@cheule YEs i saw, but wonder why they get that 1100 from, seeing your tube didnt hit 900 even. But perhaps due to lower battery?
Got One Not fan of Open Port...will get a rubber Bung from somewhere else...everything else about it Cool....
It is a great little light, but until Wuben can get their act together and solve their shipping and support issues, I will advise people to stay way from their products.
I think I’m used to light taking a month or more to get to me from China. Pretty par for the course.

In my particular situation, it seems that there was an issue at the customs - who knows for what?! (fees maybe?)... Flashlights are not rocket science... anyway they got back my package and said they will return it to me. I have had no issues with RovyVon or Wurkkos so far one month seems on par for these guys. Olight has a North American distributor(s) so no issues there...

idk why people freak out about replaceable batteries. i have ten year old 18650s that still work perfecrtly .
I hear you. It doesn’t make a huge difference to me either, but I mention it for the audience members that make it a priority.
It's simply because if you don't follow a religious charge-discharge regimen, the batteries lose capacity and number of life cycles. But I do have both and have degrading capacity on the rechargeable.

You were most likely looking at the Titanium version which is $138. Also note, that the white aluminum version is the one that comes with LH351D, the black aluminum is OSRAM P9.
