To be fair he also referred to Feathers McGraw as "Penguin" in the regular version, his name wasn't revealed till right at the end, and only on a newspaper. It does make sense they don't use his real name as this was intended to teach non English speakers English, hence why Wallace's dialogue is a lot more basic then in the regular version.
At least this redubbed version has the original happy birthday song in the card and how much is that doggy in the window. unlike later versions that were it was changed for copyright etc.
Peter Sallis probably didnt enjoy doing this judging by the fact he has like 20% more dialogue. I think removing the York dialect ruined it, but seriously people new to English would understand like half of Wallace’s lines.
It's so nice to hear the orignal music in the loud music scene and the Open University jingle on the TV.
25:07 here’s the train chase scene for anyone wondering where it is
It's funny how Wallace and the narrator calls Feathers "Penguin".

Some of Wallace’s dialogue from Peter Sallis has been redubbed with different lines of dialogue from the original
I remember this!

Exclusive for schools and universities.
Not for sale in public.
