as a florist this is 800% the content I want!! thank you for being so thorough. would love if this were a series of every colorway for roses. Truly such a valuable resource.
thank you so much, yes I would love to continue the series but due to my events all being postponed I'm doing more garden content now. I hope to be back to a mix of florist and garden content soon! thanks again!
This was SUCH a helpful video. You're so thorough and seeing them all compared in the same lighting was so much better than trying to guess what they all look like by googling photos. Your commentary on how they open, smell, ect. was really great. Would love to see more of this kinda video from you
Wow, extremely helpful video, thank you so much! The best video on this topic. I thought I would go for Tibet or Quicksand type of rose, but this proved me that a garden rose O'Hara is the way to go for me!
so glad to hear that! I would love to do more but this year has been so strange and I haven't been buying in flowers, maybe next year I can do more colors!
@@Sullivan_Owen quicksand has been my go-to for a few years, hoping to get my hands on garden/wedding spirit this season because it looks very interesting to me.
yes these are florist roses, there are similar ones available for home gardens but they do not hold up as well as these do. two very different needs, i have videos on some of the plants I have in my garden and I have lots of roses. Glad it was helpful
We are wanting to put roses in floral tubes and push in the ground to line the aisle outside for a wedding. Any recommendations for which neutral rose you would recommend?
I would actually suggest seeing what your supplier has available, from what I understand neutrals/white/cream have been very hard to get this year. Good luck!
Great video!! I LOVE roses and would like to grow some to sell to florists. Since I won't be able to compete price wise with international growers, I'm thinking of growing only David Austin roses to reach a niche market. Do you think that's a good idea? Thanks for your time!
Hi! I love them too. There is a rose grower called Grace Rose Farm that you may want to check out, they grow specialty roses for florists and ship bouquets which is probably closer to what you're thinking about rather than the big commercial farms. I think anyone wanting to grow high quality flowers to sell to their floral community is a great idea, I would also talk to the florists in your area and see what they look for. I wish you all the best with it, growing flowers is incredibly rewarding!
Hi, this is Maria Fernanda Valencia freom EbloomsDirect, I reach your video accidentally but I loved it, please, let me know if you give me permission to link your videos to my website for my customers could learn about roses before to to buy it, please, let me know
browning petals usually means the flower has been bruised on the face or from oils in fingers touching the petals. It's best not to buy ones that look like they've been manhandled at the store and to handle them by the sides always. When arranging with roses, always hold them at the widest part near the base and pull off guard/bruised petals after arranging. hope this helps!
I'm sorry to hear that, I can't say that has happened to me. My local wholesaler (DV) would pick up the wrong ones and drop off the correct ones or send an appropriate substitute. I typically get my bulk flowers Tues for a Saturday event so I have to time to sort out corrections. If you're using a fed ex supplier, they should do what they can to correct things for you. And my best advice is to never promise specific flowers to a client, I use color families, list out seasonally available flowers and also have a clause in my contract that nature doesn't always cooperate and I have to be able to make substitutions as needed. Best of luck to you!

I just bought Menta and Sahara from Grace Rose farm
This is the only video like this that I could find. Super helpful. Are all of these sold only as cut flowers?

How do you stop the roses from browning? Do you have any tips please?

What do you do if the vendor sent you the wrong color and wrong rose? And your event is in 3 days.
