      @mr.meeseeks5127 5 лет назад +56

      Eggs don't hatch at the same time, and the amount of growth within the first 30 days is astronomical. So it's common for some siblings to be larger and older than the others. Owls are very diligent parents and most babies survive given they are birds of prey with limited if not any natural predators.

      That is what all owl species do, the female stays in the nest to feed and protect the offspring, the male does the hunting. That is how the species has survived, the same was true for the human species in the west, until the the feminazis took over, and the species has been on a steady decline, except in the middle east and African nations.

    Удивительно, полярная сова, которая должна гнездится в условиях полярной тундры,
    выводят своих птенцов в условиях наверное лесотундры или северной тайги, такое я вижу впервые.
    А, может быть это снято в условиях зоопарка, так как как самец приносит для птенцов белых лабораторных мышей.

      Я жила на Колыме, и тут вообще не понятно что за лес. Летом тайга выглядит зелёной, мох есть не везде, там где болотистая местность то это очень похоже и мышей там больше. Мне показалось что мыши серые, просто свет так падает. А вот самца какие то блохи птичьи, видно на нем под перья забежало насекомое. Я конечно не специалист в этом, но на Колыме никогда не видела у птиц такой живности в перьях. А вот в центральной части России частенько видела, например у голубей или стрежей которые случайно залетали к нам на лоджию.

      это канадская организация The Owl Foundation. лечат сов, растят осиротевших птенцов, выпускают на волю тех сов которые могут жить самостоятельно, создают условия для спаривания сов которые не могут жить на воле.

    I work with a snowy owl called “Sofie” she is the sister of one of the birds that played Hedwig in Harry Potter. Sadly her previous owner kept her in a very small cage and she bashed up her wings. She has not yet molted the feathers on her wings, cannot fly and she is a very nervous bird (snowy owls are nervous by nature and she’s even worse). She is, however, a lovely bird who has now got a good home with us. We are hoping she will one day be able to fly again.
