  • Debbie Reynolds visited Omaha, NE in Nov., 2010 for the Bruce Crawford/OmahaFilmEvent.com tribute to the 1952 film, Singin' in the Rain. Former Omaha Northwest High School principal, Jack Hallstrom, had known Ms. Reynolds in the early Korean War era when he was in boot camp in California. The first portion of this video conveys his story and then we see & hear Ms. Reynolds' talk on stage before the movie was shown.

Too bad she had such a nut job for a daughter. It must have broke her heart.

So privileged to have been in the audience to see this lovely, talented lady & afterwards she was gracious enough to take the time to greet those of us in the audience who wanted to meet her. The world lost, not only a wonderful actress, but a wonderful human being.

Jack Hallstrom, you mean? He was my high school principal! We never knew back then that he'd known Debbie Reynolds! He obviously went to some lengths to renew the acquaintance! I'm sure he was VERY excited! I'm very glad I got the interview with him! I understand he died within a year or so after this.

There will never be someone like you, NO, never again, like you! Hope this system ends soon the real ruler of this world will reign, cause he promised to bring beautiful people like Debbie, and Carrie back to a very safe and clean planet! Debbie and her daughter Carrie, are safe in his memory, and when its time to call out to them from the dust, they will return and boy will they be surprised at the beauty of earth, no crime, no violence, no sicknesses of any sort, Carrie won't be depressed or bipolar.
