What'd ya think, I loved it and it's tied with The Night House for my favorite film this year. Its first act wasn't really grabbing me but once they introduce a certain character the film transformed into something really special for me. I'll definitely be checking out the directors other films since I've never seen them.
It's a banjo, but it's played in a traditional folk style that's kind of hard to find these days. You should check out Gospel Plow by Chance McCoy and the Appalachian String Band if you like this
Lyrics. I am a poor wayfaring stranger Traveling through a world of woe Ain't no sickness, toil, nor danger In that bright land to which I goI'm goin' there to see my father Said he'd meet me when I come I'm only goin' over Jordan I'm only goin' over homeI know dark clouds gonna gather 'round me I know my way'll be rough and steep Yet beautiful fields lye just before me Where God's redeemed their vigils keepI'm goin' there to see my loved ones Gone before me one by one I'm only goin' over Jordan I'm only goin' over homeI'll soon…
Verse 3 I'll soon be free from earthly trials This body rests in the orchard 's yard I'll drop this cross of self -denial And go singing home to God CHORUS 3 Im going there to see my Saviour To dwell with him no more to roam Im only going over Jordan Im only going over home Im only going over home.
I'll soon be free from earthly trials This body rest in the ol' churchyard I'll drop this cross of self-denial And go singing home to god I'm goin' there to see my savior To dwell with him no more to roam I'm only goin' over Jordan I'm only goin' over home I'm only goin' over home
The imposter! Amazing documentary, so well produced. When I hear this I will always think of children who disappear. More & more I realise the horror of this life.
@@MajicLaMa and tried to play it off like “we had no idea!”. But who’s more fucked up?? The family or the imposter…. Keep in mind the imposter may not know they killed the kid.
"The Wayfaring Stranger" (aka "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" or "I Am a Poor Wayfaring Stranger"), Roud 3339, is a well-known American folk song likely originating in the early 19th century[1] about a plaintive soul on the journey through life. As with most folk songs, many variations of the lyrics exist.
I also just watched The Imposter and had to listen to it again. This is truly haunting and a hybrid of styles that I'd never considered. Why have I never heard this before?

All time fav of mine. I want to meet the lyricist of this well beloved song in Heaven. No one knows who wrote it and yet it's blessed countless people.
Oh man I haven't heard this version in a while. First time I heard this song was by 16 Horsepower and I've played it many times since with my band and just by myself busking in the streets. Wonderful song 🧡
When I seen and heard David and his band year's ago...I was stunned. I got to meet David and Pasqual....it was a Religious high moment! a beautiful guy David..and such a musical talent.....God already Blessed Him.....Amen from Annemaarie
This is an excellent version of "Wayfaring Stranger" I heard the one by Jack White from the movie Cold Mountain and I wanted to throw up after those notes cut through my ears...and I mean his VOICE. This guy sings, walks, plays, and LOOKS like he's so loaded by LSD he puts Jimmy Hendrix to shame. o_O
Here because of Titane

Gentleman, let's be the people that listened to this before Red Dead Redemption 2.
Found it randomly, I don't even know what's RDR2...
ive been listening to 16 horsepower since 2002 but i did think when starting rdr2 that they should really have called them up for the whole soundtrack
16 Horsepower could very well be the soundtrack for Red Dead Redemption 2
Well lads.
It was in 1917.
I'll take that..
