‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ winner Nymphia Wind performs at Presidential Office｜Taiwan News

Nymphia Wind, the winner of Season 16 of "RuPaul’s Drag Race," made history on Wednesday as the first drag queen to perform at the Presidential Office. Wearing her signature yellow, Nymphia staged a lip sync extravaganza with the members of her drag house. She thanked President Tsai for her contributions over the past eight years, calling Tsai a mother figure for Taiwan.

Nymphia fought back tears as she thanked Taiwan for enabling her growth. She pointed out that the yellow lotus on her chest symbolized triumph despite adversity.

When competing in “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Nymphia drew inspiration from Taiwanese culture, showcasing looks featuring bananas and bubble tea. Her next major stop is Paris, where she will perform at the Taiwan Pavilion in the 2024 Cultural Olympiad.
