    Distributor context :
    3 sensors. CYP TDC CYL
    Each have 2 wires a + and a -
If either set of wires (-/+) is backwards it WILL NOT throw a CEL!
    But will retard the ignition!
Verify the pinouts with a continuity check.
    And go from there.

Also, if that is an aftermarket distributor, it will just give you an issue. My brother did a COP and discovered the aftermarket distributor was the issue.

Distributor suppose to have cam position sensors still operating in there. If you somehow remove them then there’s your issue. You can get a cam position sensor that posts and mounts on the cam gear with the sensor there.

Love your content. I have a few ideas for you. Since you had water in the cylinder tubes, please inspect the distributor internals for moisture or oil seeping. (remove cap on distributor). Inspect the distributor shaft for side to side movement. (possible distributor bearing worn out). Inspect the pickup coil inside the distributor. There should be an resistance (ohm) measurement and also air gap measurement you can do. Also check to see that the pickup coil wires out of the distributor to the ECU are shielded with special wires and grounded properly. These wires can pickup magnetic interference from other sensors. Hope this points you into figuring out the cause of your issues. Let us know how it turns out on the next video! Keep your head up, you will figure it out.

Only 3 things to run an Engine:
    1. Air
    2. Fuel
    3. Spark
Air is always there, and you fixed your fuel issue with the regulator so it actually starts up. Spark is your issue.
Sidenote - I had a 91 EF with an B18b and had countless of issues with Autozone Bosch Dizzys, went aftermarket and was still having the issue come back every year. I'm confident its your dizzy. You can test the coils just start the car and unplug one at a time if its the same when unplugging on then its that coil. You got this

I have a problem when the engine goes to operating temps and once it was turn off, it wont start. I moved the vc ground cable from stud to the cover and no issue after that. Hope you get it fix man!

Check the junction box on the engine harness. On the rywire harness it should be right with all the plugs for the Ecu and chassis harness clip. that junction box is used for the signal to the injectors to open and close. Also if that’s not the cause it might be a good move to get another harness do to your car being subjected to all that summer heat it may have broken down the insulation that’s needed to keep other signals out. I hope this helps bro and stay positive.
    RIP BEAR .

    Compression check
Be sure the injectors and fuel are correct for the tune
Last would be distributor. Being its running and amount of water in the plugs, probably corrosion inside the distributor. Hopefully it's something small. With the amount of smoke and apparent oil consumption with low viscosity oil, could be stumbling from burning that much oil. Love the video. Keep up the great work

Sometimes If a coil pack fails only under load, it usually indicates a weakened or worn-out coil that struggles to produce enough voltage to ignite the air-fuel mixture properly when the engine is under stress, like during acceleration or uphill driving; essentially, the coil can handle normal idling conditions but breaks down when high power is required

Check timing with a timing light to make sure. Above all, its good to see you pushing through and smiling!

I have had plug wires, foul plugs, cracked distributer cap, rotor, coil, bad distributer bearings and seals, and timing belts all make my car miss you may also have water in your distributor cap the seal can go bad.
