You appear to have a very disciplined tight style. I particularly enjoyed how you used your kick in your grooves and fills. I love your open hand playing. My son in law is left handed and plays open handed like that as well. It gives you a strong powerful backbeat. I love how you played the bridge part in the second piece. It was full of excitement and dynamic variation. A true joy to listen to. You really nailed the hits throughout the piece and accented your fills to the song. Great job. I also enjoyed how you framed the solos in the third piece and your shuffle is lock on.
So you're telling me this young man is under 16 ? Well when he'll get more experience, he'll be a complete monster. Don't get me wrong, what I say is actually I think he is really good. I wish him to follow Larnell Lewis foot step perhaps.
All of these young contestants need a great teacher or two to get them on a path towards good technique, sound/tone, relaxation, even, consistent phrasing, and touch.
He has skill, but you can tell it's more gospel chops type stuff. Just my opinion though. He was like a fish out of water when live guitars came in. People forget a simple beat rocks with a lot of people. Take it slow and the groove finds you.
Great lefty open handed player. A young Billy Cobham in the making.
That's how I play. This kid KICKS ASS.
great musicality, nice feel, great improv, and a solid solo piece.. Big things to come! Nice work Jared
Excellent! Congratulations!
This was fantastic ❤ amazing job young man!! Wow!

Who's the old Drummer of the Year?
Good work, young man! Reminded me a little of a raw Benny Greb. 👍

His competition must have been garbage cause he really ain’t doing to win a drum of he would get crushed in the USA
