I bought a 2023 out of Rush in tulsa, I drove it for five months and sold it. Them new trucks just aren't the same, I ended up completely restoring 94 379 and have no regrets about selling the 23 389. That digital dash definitely isn't as reliable as peterbilt wants it to be, regardless its a beautiful rig you guys put together!
you sold it just because of dash issues ? im asking because in restoring a 97 flattop 379 with cat got new reman engine , 18 speed and 3.55 reman rears and sandblasted frame and currently doing all airlines, electrical, axles and paint then will do all interior and lights . in at $100k+ and still got about 30-40k in fenders, interior, apu etc started wondering if its worth it vs buying new. its so much money going into it, its nerve-racking .
Gotta say, if I was gonna get back on the road, that's the route I'd take...no ELD, no emissions BS, just a truck the way it's supposed to be. That said, Steve puts some damn nice new buggies together.
O.M G.!!! Steve, once again your guys have out did themselves! Whatever you are paying them is not enough! Makes an old driver like me want to go on the road just to drive a jewel like her.... Oh yea,... a belated Happy Birthday to you. Wishing you many happy years to come.
THAT is one sexy left lane hot rod. I see the custom touches representing the 406. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it once it leaves Oklahoma and comes home. #tulsabuilt. #PeterbiltSteve
Grass burner & dummy stacks smfh ! I can never get use to these nowadays Bs it’s a nice paint that’s all for me ! Am thinking about a set up like this but I will order the truck with no engine might do a fully restore n14 /3406/c15 am thinking like I said it’s just the paint for me ✅💯
I have Sean a lot of Pete dealers doing truck But this one Truck of the year I won't charge Anything .I figure truck is going to big Show.good job steve.
Is that correct? The truck is pulling 41 amps just sitting there with the lights and electronics on? Something seems amiss but perhaps I am way off in either my understanding here or my off the cuff estimation of what those aux lights should be pulling. I wonder what those custom lighted placards are pulling. I'm also wondering if there are plans to get rid of the old style gauges for a full display panel like we see in aviation. The main panel seems to be a contemporary display.
Not a fan of that exhaust. But If you have to go that route. Check out how trucking for race cars done his. His horizontal exhaust is completely hidden. Even his def tank is hidden. And with the 379 style headlights at first glance you wouldn’t know it’s a new 389.
Why in the heck would you put a 13 speed with a 605 horse motor? You should’ve put an 18 automatic ultra shift would’ve got way better fuel mileage, and put that torque to good use.
What are the small lights called that’s going around the deck plate ? Up and down both sides of it ? I need to find some but don’t know what there called to find some like these. Thanks for any help guys
They make a RTLO20913A for this application (605HP/2050TQ) We also spec and sell 500HP/1850TQ X15s with FRO18210C, 10 speed transmissions with 3.91 rears for logging applications.
Those double hump fenders look good but they are not practical you blow a tire you ruined thousands of dollars in fender and it takes a bunch of work to get them off just to fix a flat

The megafuse in my next gen t680 blew while I was driving 65 MPH and the whole truck went dead and the steering wheel was as dead as a doorknob

Absolutely beautiful rig , love the color and the lights . It's definitely one of those trucks that can be seen a mile away fantastic and gorgeous....
Lots of planning went into this truck! Bravo Steve!
Should eliminate vertical stacks if horizontal ones are real, beautiful truck. Great video, thanks.
A very smartly conceived tractor !!! I know the owner will enjoy this ride !!! 💯💯
This is one of the best looking trucks on RUclips!! Fantastic
Nothing out of the ordinary here .. do like the black and purple

Oh yea,... a belated Happy Birthday to you. Wishing you many happy years to come.
Damn!! Hes got those stacks on the bottom instead of the sides
That rear with those step plates behind the fenders looks so sick. Never seen anything like that
Beautiful truck, but I'm definitely a traditionalist, as you put it. 23 real gauges, and real functioning, true stacks for me.
Totally sweet truck Steve as always thanks for the description
Absolutely Beautiful Ride Steve, can’t wait to see more custom ride’s
THAT is one sexy left lane hot rod. I see the custom touches representing the 406. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it once it leaves Oklahoma and comes home. #tulsabuilt. #PeterbiltSteve

Faz um vídeo do caminhão funcionando o motor
Badass ROOSTER CRUSIER
Very impressive 🇺🇸🗽🚛
Wow!
Big... Big $$$ for this one.
As custom as the truck is I can imagine how much it's going for?
The dummy stacks to me are ridiculous but otherwise it's wild.
Nice job 👍

Beautiful truck Mostly likely broke the $350,000 threshold mark.
Shit's cray, ain't it?
Beautiful truck as I'd expect nothing else from Peterbilt Steve.
Very Nice but those damn stickers on the frame and the back of the sleeper has got to Go !!!!!!!!!
Nice ride
Amazing truck
Love this truck
Some guys up here in maine have had issues with the dashes freezing up to
Why would you build that with a 13 speed? Should’ve put an 18 speed auto in it?
Nice LARGECAR
She is pretty
Beautiful DOC 😉 THEY BOUT TO. HOP UP THE CABOVER SO I "DONT" FORGET *GOOD GUYS*! SEE U SOON 🤕🤨😇✝️🇺🇸☮️🚛💨💨💨👍💪🤟
Duel 150? Drivers side surely isn’t? Great looking truck though 👍👍👍
Absolutely 150 on both sides
Hello Peterbilt Steve. Does your shop work on customizing used trucks aswell or just new trucks?
We sure do
I would get my truck custom just like this truck
Awqesome
Why in the heck would you put a 13 speed with a 605 horse motor? You should’ve put an 18 automatic ultra shift would’ve got way better fuel mileage, and put that torque to good use.
You said it was a 18 speed and its a 13 speed it has the red splitter on the shifter
What are the small lights called that’s going around the deck plate ? Up and down both sides of it ? I need to find some but don’t know what there called to find some like these. Thanks for any help guys
A 9speed will blow your doors off
What's a ballpark figure on the cost Steve 🤔 🤷🏾♀️
What’s the ratio
why have stacks but exhaust comes out underneath dont make sense jus use the stacks
Hey bossman where y'all located at
Very nice
Damn build me one of those I know you can still find the 389 even if it’s a few years old
Badass and beautiful but the grass burner exhaust would have to go c'mon man
What inch riser is on this fifth wheel?
I just don't get the fake exhaust.
👌👍💪🙂
The undertaker
Bottom exit exhaust??? Fake stacks??? What a waste for a badass unit like that!
How long can you still buy new 389?
Until the end of this year
@@jakebrake1326 I think it’s very sad, cause it’s the number one best looking truck on the market…
@@simonkasinger3199 I'm telling ya
Let me see that engine!
Try to find Steve’s QT cup lol
Where are those 589's boss man?
Why tf do u have stax if u just ran the shit out The bottom
Steve, that’s a 13 speed ( red button ) you sure that’s a 605 Cummins?

Sucks you can't have real straight pipes anymore
All the new stuff is junk unless you do all analog - all that sensor crap is junk
Good luck buying anything all analog including a decent riding mower ;)
Peterbilt ruined an American classic with the digital dash. It will never grow on me.
Just restore a good 379. The new trucks are junk.
Had me till I saw the dash. 🤮 it’s not a hot rod
Those double hump fenders look good but they are not practical you blow a tire you ruined thousands of dollars in fender and it takes a bunch of work to get them off just to fix a flat
