I have a 2022 701 Supermoto (same engine) and it was leaking (seeping) oil from day one also. Kept getting a film of oil on the bottom of the engine. Tried diagnosing myself but just couldn’t see where it was leaking from. The top part of the engine was bone dry so it had to be coming from somewhere around the bottom end. Dealer replaced the drain plug gasket twice but had no clue. Then I noticed that my chain was usually dirty for a bike that only sees pavement! After some searching online I found that the likely culprit is the countershaft seal. Which was causing oil to build up around the front sprocket and getting all over the chain. The bike is going back to the dealer to have that seal replaced. Take your sprocket guard off and see if the inside is covered in oil.
Don't tight it to much, or you flatten the ''seal-ring'' and loose it function, and will leak either way. edit, Dirt/sand gets in bearings if your to close with a high water pressure for example, don't think it will be the case with your '21 way to early either way.
WTH Mooshi are you like a pro mechanic? xD now i know who i need to talk to when i need my bikes fixed hahah! *I didnt fix it myself it was under warrenty*
Really!? on the 2022 model? I thought by now they would have fixed the front sprocket barring issue by now! Hope you get it sorted out soon! it is a great bike in the end! *Ps mine also started below 100km im sure so glad you caught it early!*
bij mij was het t voor tandwiel daar zat een slechte keerring in of hoe dat heet in het Nederlands haha, kan je makkelijk checken gewoon je beschermkapje weghalen en kijken of t daar lekt!
Thank you MultiF haha its my first time ever buying a brand new bike so i got worried i will get it checked out at 1000km's! Thanks for reassuring its probably nothing!
@@ZauxieMoto my 2017 690 duke (same engine) leaked at the beginning too. Also after the 10k and 20k service. The leaks went away after driving a bit. Idk why ^^Just enjoy the bike and dont think about rattling noises and oil leaks too much :)
@@multif99 First off nice bike as well! yeah ill try not to worry about it to much because it does take away a bit of the joy its just not something you expect when buying a brand new bike and i tend to over think things like that in my mind i see the bike explode before the 1000km service haha
it did come pack twice turned out they used the wrong bearing they changed/updated it to a different one *i cant tell you which one sadly i forgot haha* and after that it was fixed are you from the EU? Might just be EU specific. I also dont know if it was called a bearing tbh my English kinda sucks haha but yeah i went back twice 3 time they got it right

I would call that "breaking in oil leakage". Would not worry about it...
