@@midwestmystic6431 it means that the run is so good / optimized that the chances that the 3:38 minute barrier (getting a time below 3 hours 38 minutes) being broken is next to zero, meaning this is the last time someone will break the minute barrier in this category. having said that, the OOT rules were just changed a month ago so that the intro cutscene doesn't count in the total time so this run is now 3:36:05. So in a roundabout way it became possible to break a minute barrier all over again
It was really a fan to discover the game quickly but without glitches (for once). Unfortunately / Fortunately this run is close to perfect so I will never see this category again. Thank you for all your research and work on this category ! Congratulation for this Amazing World Record ! 😸😸🐙🐙🦑🦑🐋🐋
I like this run because this is what would have been most impressive to 9 year old me back when the game came out. The 5 minute any% runs are just stupid, at least with this run you actually complete the game as one would or should, just very optimized.
Hilarious how young Link is carring a Deku Stick for the Zelda and Saria cutscenes lmao; in the Zelda one it's right up against her face when Link is out of the frame!
This is is the only 'true' speedrun discipline imo; ofc you can find ways to exploit dev code and reach the end state of the game, just as you can shortcut-skip to the inside of a running track and claim victory in a 400 m sprint without actually going the whole distance. And while memorizing and executing a series of SRM and ACE techniques is technically impressive, I feel it is too detached from the atmosphere of the casual gameplay I recognize to enjoy spectating.
Yea usually people run categories with glitches in them because they enjoy glitching the game in various ways, but that tends to skip a lot of content of the game. That's why I enjoy running glitchless.
I have actually been loving randomizers for this, forces a problem solving aspect, forces reaching into the bag of tricks creatively and also ends up different so more of the game is explored
Wow this is my favourite game of all time and you just SHREDDED it. People who have never played this game are going to think the temples are short and they really aren’t AT ALL, not for human beings at least, you sir are not human. A couple of questions if you don’t mind, is this still the WR? How many times (approx) have you completed this game? (I’m guessing hundreds at a minimum) Finally why did you spam the long shot while waiting for Twinrova to attack and why shoot light arrows while escaping Ganons castle? Thankyou
Hey, thanks for the kind words. I've not counted how many times I've beaten the game but its in hundreds. Yes this is still WR, don't think other runners like makai, dannyb have tried to beat it. Shooting rova with longshot keeps the other one in place so I can hit it with shield reflection In castle collapse shooting light arrow prevents zelda's purple magic thing appear when opening gates and that can save a frame of lag so its not a huge time save. 😊
What an under rated speed run. This category showcases way more skill than the categories that use glitches in my opinion
Love it how you enjoy the music with your shield hahah great speed run!
Love the shielding to the beat of the music lol. Awesome run!
Absolutely amazing, well done!
Massive respect to you sir. This truly takes skill unlike the ones that take only 20 minutes due to glitching right to the credits.
Just pure amazing skill. You killed the first boss in a few seconds. He couldnt even react. Awesome work
Everybody not using Version 1.0 should be disqualified!
Congrats on likely the last minute barrier for this route!
What does last minute barrier mean? I'm new to speed running, but this category seems to be my favorite. Something happen to it recently?

Never say never, people might start playing on iQue which is maybe 3 minutes faster but its awful to play with overall so dunno.

The stick in Zelda's face! XD Liked and subscribed.
I never played OoT, but I can completely respect the dedicated time and prestige you have. Excellent run, gamer.

Congratulation for being the goat on Ocarina of time speedrunning
30:03 nice physics equation
Glitchless speedrun WR of the most famous game ever and only 180ish likes? C'mon, really? Criminally underrated video.
@2:05:06 Zora is like what's up while link looks like he's drowning lol
Well done.
Go fast MAH BOI!!
I went to sleep last night and woke up to thing and I was at 1:51:04 so yea cool speed run
AMAZIIIING!
Holy! Great Job.. Do you remember 10 days ago when you said you could never get a 3:38 lmao
Thanks, not sure if with those exact wordings haha, but yea definitely didnt see it happening so soon.

Ganondorf just jumped in out of nowhere after you pulled the master sword. Have you done a commendated run?
I have not. I might be bad at commentating runs and its also a lot of work.
36:18 How is this not a glitch though?
Not sure what you mean. You sidehop on top of the armos statue (not an enemy) and backflip on top of the switch platform.
NEVER EVEN GOT YOUR HORSE WTF
the running man still did it faster!
Was this wii vc?
Yes
Glitches =/= Speedrun
