I had a colloid cyst removed surgically in 2002 and survived. It was rough but made it through..😊

    Thanks for your videos!
Could you make a video explaining the different processes involved between voluntary vertical saccades and vertical smooth pursuit.
How can vertical smooth pursuit be spared while voluntary vertical saccades are impaired?
    Thanks so much!

My 21 year old son was diagnosed with colloid cyst in the 3rd ventricle. I am hopeful, yet terrified at the same time.

@@Kamrankhan-gz3yiAs someone who has had surgery, once you go into a coma due to the increased brain pressure, there is a greater chance of not coming out alive.

@@Kamrankhan-gz3yiI’ve just been diagnosed as well, from my research one needs to find a neurosurgeon with experience with Colloid cysts the first neurosurgeon my Dr talk to is passing it on , guess since it is rare not all neurosurgeons have experience with them. As far as being fatal from what I’m learning it’s a very small chance of that happening so small I wouldn’t worry to much about it just find a neurosurgeon who has experience and remove it because the good news is all symptoms from what I’ve learned will be resolved once the cyst is removed. Hey at least it’s not brain cancer is how I’m looking at it from my end so yes it’s scary but can be cured through surgery with a small chance it can return but given it’s a very slow growing cyst one can still live a long productive life just stay positive.

Dear colleague, did you have any case of association between colloid cyst and contestual normal tension glaucoma?

I had a colloid cyst removed on the 12 of may 2023. But it all started in 2019 with visual aura followed by headaches. at first the episodes use to happen once every 6 months...then in 2023 it became every evening after work. I got worried when i had tingling effect in my abdomen, the neurologist asked me to do an MRI scan. There he saw that i had hydrocephalus and wanted to use a valve to treat it. I went to a neuosurgeon who said they could sort the problem with an ETV procedure (endoscopic method) and so i went for that. All perfect, smooth, no seizures and speedy recovery. Following exams showed I no longer had signs of papiledema so it was all good till september 2023. After 2 nights of bad sleep on my way to work I had a seizure and got admitted to the hospital once again. ECGs and MRIs did not show something worriesome nevertheless the doctor put me on levetiracetam for at least 5 years....in december 2023 i had another seizure on 22/23 and on 29/23 and the doctor increased my dose of keppra and restricted my alcohol consuptions and reinforced the need of having good sleep....let's see how this evolves..

I started out with pain in my legs, it would come and go,tits been 2 years since my leg symptoms started and during this time it worked it way higher and higher. Pain and throbbing, twitching all over or spasms in random parts at random times. Now my head started to have bad spasms on the right side temporal area, i always feel like crap. No doctor believed me about my symptoms or took it seriously, now they found a 16mm colloid fissure cyst on the right side and say it has nothing to do with my symptoms. Anyone else have this issue, i feel i am on borrowed time now. I am miserable. Activity makes it worse. Laying down sucks too. I cant live like this. Mo doctor will help. Not even take a dang blood test to check for a parasite issue which i think it might be trichnella. Leg pain is constant, weakness in right ankle and right arm, head spasms right side, pain can pop up in any hand or arm as well. I need help please
