@@basilofgoodwishes4138 I’ve heard that so maybe that’s the path they’ll go. Not really alluded in the games though. They treat Greece and Scotland as pretty much just other places In the world if the convos between Mimir and Kratos are anything to go by. They even mention Thermopylae and Macbeth. Which really screws with any attempt to map their timeline to ours.
Though I’ve also heard (but can’t confirm) Barlog has said the game takes place right before the Viking age. Hence my comment. I’d say we’re more likely to see Egyptian gods in a Kratos prequel sorta like GOW 4.

I really wonder what the future has in store for God Of War now, if we get a DLC or a new game exploring this Mask and Gods trying to learn why they exist and what comes next etc. with that simple concept they opened an interesting subject

I had a theory that the voice that told Odin to control his destiny through the mask is spirit form Athena
since the color scheme of the rift anf the mask is similar to Ghost Athena in GOW3
then again in 2018 Ghost Athena is blue colored

Hold on. If magic is bound to the earth and Greece is completely destroyed then wouldn't the Blades of Chaos and Kratoses powers be gone? Or maybe they're just so powerful that they're power and magic has been reduced?

      Kratos is Son of Zeus.
      Zeus is son of Kronos.
      Kronos is son of Gaia.
Gaia is the embodiment of the earth itself. Maybe the blades are tied to a little piece of earth magic within Kratos?
Either that or the blades are empowered by the energies of Chaos, the primordial being who existed as the void before even the earth.
