Aw.. that’s such a great thought! I don’t even have all the ingredients sanjot is using but I bet it will be delicious. Trust me his recipes are authentic and trustworthy. You are sure to make an amazing dish for your dad if you followed the directions detailed. Please let us all know what your dad thought of your beautiful attempt. Be careful with salt. Less is better as you can always add a bit more as needed. I try to avoid deep fried stuff but it is great with rotis👍

Nice recipe, but please let the mustard seeds (raai) splutter. Mustard seeds should be put in hot oil and their colour should go from red to blackish grey or dark grey. Only then you should start adding the other ingredients. Otherwise adding raai is pointless.

Tried this, little variations on the spices, and let me say... easier than it looks as well as tastier than it looks. Really tasty recipe, my family loved it.
Here in South India we used to serve Puri with Poori masala without Red chilli powder we make it with chana dal,Turmeric powder,onion etc..But this method is very new and easy will sure try
